& #8234;Buccaneers are releasing six-time Pro-Bowl DT Gerald McCoy, who was due to make $13 million this season, as @NFLSTROUD reported.& #8236; & #8234;Back in 2010 NFL Draft, Ndamukong Suh was the second overall pick and McCoy was the third overall pick. Now, nine-plus years later, both are free agents.& #8236;

It's not like we couldn't use a guy who you can pencil in for 6 sacks from the DE position. We'd have a deep line.
He's not a DE. He's more of what we already have.

He's a 34 DE.

At the 30, time for him to chase a ring. And the Pats could use a versatile interior player.

Totally
It is probably unlikely, but it could enhance the development of our young dline. Much along the lines of what we are doing with Jenkins, Manning, Tate and did with Stewart last year.
That's a fair point.
Madden
He most definitely isn't. He's a prototypical 4-3 NT. And as Milton says, he's not a 5 Technique guy
