Comedian Artie Lange was arrested Tuesday morning for failure to comply with his drug court program. Essex County Sheriff Armando Fontoura said Lange was arrested on a drug court warrant at 7:42 a.m. at Freedom House, the Clinton halfway house where he lives as part of the program. Fontoura said Lange, 51, will remain at Essex County Jail until he is called before a judge for re-evaluation. He said Lange “sounded good" and “looked sober" when he was arrested. The exact nature of his violation is unclear. The last time Lange was in jail, he had tested positive for cocaine, in violation of his probation. Katherine Carter, spokeswoman for the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office, said on Monday that Lange was “noncompliant with his drug court requirements" and was due to be arrested. |
Seems like there is a thread every other month on Artie. Guy just can't get himself straight.
Addiction is a sad disease. Took one of my brothers. Such a shame....
Don't normally think it, but death will be a sweet release for him.
It's the biggest fear I have with my children.

Holy shit
ha that made me laugh...and yes
Artie is just a lost cause at this point. It's sad, but if he hasn't woken up by now, he's never going to. I just keep expecting the next news story on him to be the one where he's finally dead.
His body can't possibly handle much more of this shit. It's all got to have taken an absolutely massive toll on him internally. His insides probably look just as bad as he does on the outside.
The last time Pete Holmes saw his friend and fellow stand-up comic Artie Lange he was working on a garbage truck as part of his court sentence. Wearing a New York Giants beanie with a cigarette hanging out of his mouth, Lange, who was charged with heroin possession in 2017 and spent time in jail earlier this year after testing positive for cocaine, told the man filming him on a cell phone, “You’re gonna keep this quiet, right?”

They canceled Crashing? It was funny as hell.

Yes. I found it to be a good, little show. Not trying to be anything more than it was. I can't imagine it was expensive to produce, and I thought enough people liked it to keep it going. And I figured Judd Apatow had the clout to keep it going.
Pete Holmes seemed pretty bummed about it when it was announced, for obvious reasons.
I guess I still do. I thought that guy was without a doubt the best part of the Stern show for the 8 years that he was there. Brought a lot of laughs, and I dont take that for granted. I wish the guy could somehow someway get his shit together, but I dont see that happening. While I will admit that I am amazed that he is still alive, that doesnt mean that I have stopped caring. Hoping for a miracle.....
