Schnitzie's absence has been especially hard on our mother. She was her first child, and the bond was very deep. I hope by wishing schnitz a happy birthday it helps our mom remember all the laughs and joy we had together.
from BBI for a couple of years, when I came back here it was basically the same old. Like nothing had changed.
But when I found out schnitz had passed, that hit me hard. It really saddened me to hear that she was no longer with us. She was great on Yanks threads and even if I didn't always agree with her, you had to respect her passion.
she was so much fun on the Yankees threads and ready to throw down if she didn't like the way things were going. I believe one her her trademark phrases was "the Jets are weird". Which she would bust out on several occasions, and always applicable. BBI is better for having known her.
Her and Hope were the class of this site. Never met either

I think that's actually yankees78 with the Jets are weird thing - I haven't seen her post much at all lately, though.
I do remember many of Schnitzie's posts here even though we didn't interact much. Plaid and RiffRaff both seem like wonderful people, though - and I've had nothing but good interactions with each of you guys.
Hopefully the Yanks get Andrea a nice birthday win tonight and keep on rolling.
Schnitzie did love her Yanks a great deal. She had season tickets over the Yanks dug out at the old stadium for several years. She even made it on the jumbo tron more than once rocking out to Enter Sandman, when her beloved Mariano Rivera came into the game.
I tried to come up with one of Schnitzie's classic funny BBI quotes when I made the original posting, but I couldn't think of any except, "Blast her in the butt," which I felt was quite inappropriate. Granted knowing her wry sense of humor and her skill with vulgarities, she probably would have been okay with me saying it.
Anybody else remember any other funny quotes from Schnitzie?
Schnitzie. Put me in my place more than once.
My memory is failing but I think I played in a foursome with either Mad or RiffRaff and BobinIndianapolis at Albany camp about a million years ago....great classy family. Sorry for your loss

That would have been me. I'm the golfer of the family. =8^D
Or did Schnitzie die in real life?
Thank you, cjac

Happy B'Day schnitzie!
Still can't believe she's not here, frankly.
But Happy Birthday to her, and in her memory...
Funny, intelligent, loved animals, the Yankees...big Arod fan...the Giants...wish I *had* known her...
This place isn't the same.
