Frazier's playing time has already dipped a lot and will even more so when Stanton returns, maybe even sent down. Plus Gio and didi are stud defenders, and Gleyber isn't going to dh. However, if Gio hitting declines, the decision is easy, but if he maintains his line, he will play most days.
Urshela will get playing time. But he will not be starting over LeMahieu, Gregorios or Torres. He will work in, but not start over those three.
Boone has done a great job most of this year - but yeah, lazy managing today. He's managed this entire thing from the lineup to the in-game as if it was just house money and an automatic win.
Can't do that - especially not in the division. I don't care how bad Baltimore is. Holder needed to come out after he put the first guy on in the 8th.
Could easily have just had Kahnle start the inning and use Britton to close if they want to stay away from Chapman.

losing a game on the road after having won three can be termed as a crushing loss, this one sure would be. Now that they have flushed a 5-1 lead in the 8th by needlessly trying to stretch one of their lesser relievers, they now have their best relievers warming up.
I don't know if Givens just had no control or what - he almost hit Hicks 3 times and almost hit Voit too.
Maybe they're still miffed over Green pegging one of their guys in the ribs yesterday - but I can't imagine Givens would be looking to put anyone on in that spot.

It's also fair to ask, where was Britton after the O's scored a run?
Yep, caught looking at a meatball change. Looking to slam a FB there. ooops.
I really like Boone but this shit pisses me off - all of these games count the same in the standings and to give one away is absolutely inexcusable.

move doesn’t work out when on balance he’s been very good this season so far, but it’s fair to say sticking with Holder wasn’t smart.

Probably the closer. Chapman was rough last night.
Cmon DJ!
In addition to warming up both Ottavino and Britton anyway.
Let's go, Hicksie!
6-5, Yanks.
David Hale?
Maybe he can let one of our position players pitch to save the pen an inning here.

Wasn't an easy one, but it doesn't matter.
15 over .500 now.

Green in the 9th?

Green will probably be the 'can opener' tomorrow...
Bailed out Boone again, just dumb moves by him.
Anyway 4 game sweep. Hopefully a lesson learned. All wins are good wins.
Sad part is Masa not getting the win, which he deserved hanging in there.
Bullpen was fine - Boone effed up.
LOL, I heard that too. Flash is awful.
Love having Kenny in the booth when we're in Baltimore but Flash actually makes me miss Michael.
Was glad to see him back - love Jack.
The post games were pretty rough when it was Lorenz by himself back there.
To be clear, I agree with you on this. But I still like to see the pitcher who deserves the W get it.
