Stop and take a good look at the Giants current roster.
On Defense we have got 3 guys named Jenkins (Janoris, John, and Alex). Clearly Gettleman is trying to confuse Giants fans.
And it gets worse. At receiver we have 2 guys named Shepard (Sterling and Russell, 2 guys named Golden (Tate and Brittan), and 2 guys named Russell (Alonzo and Shepard).
Just think about last months draft. Did we really need 2 draft picks named Slayton (Darius and Chris)?
When Gettleman re-joined the Giants, we already had a B.J. (Goodson) But he has to run out and draft another guy named B.J. (Hill) to confuse fans and then a few rounds later he grabs an R.J. (McIntosh). And now this year he runs out and signs a guy name C.J. (Conrad).
Gettleman should have been finding ways to add some excitement to our Offense. But instead he bores as all by grabbing a Smith (Rod) and a Jones (Daniel).
And just think how hard its going to be for fans to buy team apparel. Does anyone really want to buy a Giants jersey that says Akinmoladun or Asafo-Adjei? Only their mothers or a grammar school kid that loves Spelling Bees would buy those jerseys. Its maddening.
And Gettleman’s cheap paying players too. When we needed a fullback, he runs out and gets a guy named Penny (Eliihaa).
As fans, how can we tolerate all of this???
I don’t know what you other Giants fans are doing about this, but me, I am heading out for a few Ballentines (Corey) !!!
Go figure.
Thanks Yankee.
I can see the logic.
You're not alone.
His second big decision was to sign a 31yo RB to a 2/8m deal when we had plenty of rbs on the roster. Subsequently he drafted a RB with a first round pick. The team had more money allocated to RB than all the playoff teams combined.
His third big decision was to trade a WR without allowing anyone to submit any offers
His fourth big decision was as he self admittedly proclaimed that he only needed to see a shrine game exhibition to decide who to draft in the first round
His fifth big decision was to draft a dying position that doesn’t even project to play on three downs. Another first round pick that won’t even play on the most important down
So you actually raise a good question, what is this old, crusty guy doing?
You may want to apologize, but it won't do you any Good, son.

What Guard did he give LT money to?

Can't say that I am surprised. I've been too busy to post much or even keep with all the reading lately but I did see some of those threads.
What ultimately happened? Did he just continue to be incredibly annoying, or something more?

Making outrageous statements that no one would support so he was the only one on his side of the debate. A troll.
Completely agree
