Was Reggie Miller against the Knicks in the Semi finals, when he scored 8 points in under 9 seconds. After those back to back 3s my whole house stunned and in silence. Still seems unreal to this day.
#2) Bird picking it off and passing to DJ for the win
#3) Bird beating Phx in 1983:
However Bird was so great at the last shot stuff you could take your pick from the video below. His Phx buzzer beater is #3 in the show Bird was unbelivable - ( New Window )

...With one second left in double-overtime, Garfield Heard catches Curtis Perry's inbounds pass, turns and hits a 20-foot jumper from the top of the key as the horn sounds to force the first triple-overtime in Finals history.
with 0.1 seconds left in 1990, bc I was at the game with 3 junior high classmates who were the classic bitches who jumped on the Bulls bandwagon instead of having the balls to root for one of their local teams.
Sure, there’s no way Trent actually caught the inbound and got the shot off on 0.1, but screw Phil Jackson and screw all Bulls fans, that was a glorious moment in the Garden!
Allan Houston’s floater to beat the Heat remains the best Knicks moment of the era.
or D.J. with the game winner vs. Lakers in Game 4 of
1985 NBA Finals. (Lakers won that series).
That clutch shot epitomized who D.J was on the court,
not a great shooter, but had the clutch gene.
He was a great defender, gone far too soon at
52 years young.
Larry Bird once said about D.J. "He was the greatest teammate I ever played with"...
I'll tell you what it wasn't... John Starks in game seven in 1994.
Wasn't it game 6 that Starks missed the 3-pointer at the buzzer to put the Rockets away? Or did I forget something about game 7?
Oh sorry, forgot Starks went 2-18 in game 7. I wonder if missing that shot at the buzzer in game 6 had anything to do with that mentally? Never thought about that.

So crazy I just went back and watched it. I was only 6 years old at the time and I swear I have always remembered (as clear as day) Starks's 3-pointer at the end of regulation of game 6 being a brick off the back of the rim (and shot from the side of the court closest to the camera). Again I was 6 years old and haven't revisited this in 25 years. Turns out the shot was from the other side and it was blocked by Olajuwan. So funny how the memory works sometimes.
Wasn't luck; he lined it up, like Steph would.
And the Knicks won in OT, happy ending. Special permission to stay up late to watch the games from L.A.; thanks Mom.
never a doubt - ( New Window )
Nevermind, it was a block
He blocked Yao Ming.
non-Knick category = Jordan breaking Ehlo's spirit.
Or Scott Burrell to Tate George to beat Clemson and make it to the Elite 8 for first time in Uconn history.
but if you open it up to non-NBA there are thousands of shots.
And I guess the Bird play wasn't so much the shot, just the whole play. Tough to top that play IMO, no way the Pistons could lose that game. Until....
Yep
Maybe someday we'll all have one that actually contributed to a title!!
Vinnie Johnson brings it home.
Pistons are the Champs.

As for college:
Leattner vs Kentucky in 1992 for sure
Best biggest NBA shot ever.

Magic’s “junior skyhook” over McHale and Parrish in game four of the NBA finals to win the game.
I know it wasn’t a shot but Lebron’s block on Iguodala’s layup in the 2016 game seven Finals was a thing of beauty...
