Predict the New York Giants record with out schedule

NephilimGiants : 6/1/2019 5:09 pm
@Dallas
vs Bills
@Tampa
vs Redkins
vs Vikings
@Pats
vs Cards
@Lions
@ Cowboys
@ Jets
Bye week
@ Bears
vs Green bay
@ Philly
vs Dolphins
@ Redskins
vs Philly

Heres mine:
0-1 @Dalls, Cowgirls wins they wont let happen when Giants went 11-5 season and they only had 2 losses the whole seasons from only the G-Men. It was a luck win
0-2 vs Bills. playing in their home and they finally have something to prove
1-2 @Tampa. Again we playing in their home but Tampa's QB is crap
2-2 vs Redkins. They playing in our house and got a couple of our players so Giants will do their best to taunt them with how better they are without them....I mean they have Flowers so how hard could it be.
2-3 vs Vikings. This is really a guess because its our home time and Cousins couldnt even beat us when he had playoffs on the line in his own home town.
2-4 @Pats. Brady of course gatta have his revenge plus in Boston so their fans are crazy to beat Eli his may be last season
3-4 vs Cards. Worse team last year and rookie QBs barley beat Eli
4-4 @Lions. We pretty much always beat them. Giants use Lions to practice during the offseason
5-4 @ Cowboys. This one will be a good ass game as always but giants win with dexter lawerence able to shut down Zeke
6-4 @ Jets. This is GIANTS HOME!!!
7-4 @ Bears. We win only because coming off a bye or else id say Bears.
7-5 vs Green bay. Tough one, if it was at Green bay id say they win
7-6 @ Philly. Philly bean beating us hard last 20 years but Eli was close twice last year for first time so we may win if Wentz is out.
8-6 vs Dolphins. This is prob our easiest game of the year but it will still end up a close one
9-6 @ Redskins. Giants give it to that rookie Haskins after he had a hard season to finish the debate of wether him or Jones is better
10-6 vs Philly. Giants finish off at a home game vs our worse rivery and Eli puts his best performs as he plays his last game of the season before we go into playoffs

Oh, I didn't realize blind optimism was a registration requirement.

Everybody gather round and embrace groupthink!
It's the off-season. If the Giants are gonna suck, the season will suck regardless of whether or not we think they suck now. No point in not being optimistic. Unless you enjoy extending a miserable football season as long as you possibly can. It's not about group think, its about not being a curmudgeon.

You must not know anything about football if its blind optimism, our schedule last year was really hard, this schedule is easy af

Well, your comment was kinda dumb tbh. I'm all for optimism, but people who think the Giants will have a really rough season are not off base. There are plenty of reasons for optimism and it is the course I choose. Though there are many legitimate concerns about this team right now as well. Doesn't make the less of fans, and it is too early to say if they are wrong. And anyone can choose to be a curmudgeon if they want to.
To me a succesful season would be 8-8 with DJ showing he can

play. This team is being built to compete in 2020. Just show some improvement this year and your first round QB can play and its a good year imo.
Here we go
Rong5611 : 6/3/2019 3:28 pm : link
@Dallas L 0-1 (Not winning this one)
vs Bills W 1-1 (Home Opener, something to prove)
@Tampa W 2-1 (NY South, we win)
vs Redwkins W 3-1 (LC's homecoming sees him toasted by Tate)
vs Vikings L 3-2 (Vikings are too much for us to handle)
@Pats L 3-3 (Does Eli produce some magic, yes, but not enough)
vs Cards W 4-3 (Giants bounce back)
@Lions W 5-3 (Gutty road win)
vs Cowboys L 5-4 (No Homefield Advantage)
@ Jets L - 5-5 (Jets are further along than us)
Bye week
@ Bears L 5-6 (Not happening again)
vs Green Bay W 6-6 (Big GB crowd, but Eli finds a way)
@ Philly l 6-7 (Not there yet)
vs Dolphins W 7-7 (Eli fighting for playoffs, if we are out, DJ starts)
@ Redskins W 7-8 (Eli fighting for playoffs, if we are out DJ starts)
vs Philly L 7-9 (DJ's 1st start (or up to his 3rd), a tough one against a brutal DL)
when has anyone predicted anything good from a team thats won
Platos : 6/3/2019 3:47 pm : link
8 games in 2 years? never.

but it happens all the time.
Last two years
arniefez : 6/3/2019 4:01 pm : link
They started 1-6 and 1-7. If they start 1-3 or 1-4 ands Jones becomes the starter 4-12 sounds about right. If start well 2-2 3-1 and Eli plays all year they have a little luck and good health maybe 9-7.
Wouldn't venture to guess on the entire season.
Beezer : 6/3/2019 4:14 pm : link
Just too much occurs week-to-week to even try.

But if there's a way to steal that first game against the Cowboys (and I really have no idea right now if that's at all realistic), then I think winning the NEXT 3 games is not out of the realm of possibility.

Jesus, what if this team starts 4-0? Ha! I won't hold my breath, but! Hope springs eternal! LET'S GO!!!

I agree that the offseason should absolutely be about optimism. But telling people that they shouldn't even be on the site if they don't predict a good season is pretty immature.
Silly exercise, but why the fuck not?
Default : 6/3/2019 8:43 pm : link
@Dallas L 0-1 (bad loss, down by 3 TDs most of the game, score 10 meaningless points at the end to make it look closer)
vs Bills L 0-2 (Shutout at home)
@Tampa L 0-3 (Lose on a late fourth quarter turnover inside the 20-yard line)
vs Redskins L 0-4 (Jones' first start, Collins picks him off twice)
vs Vikings W 1-4 (Jones shakes off his rough debut and throws 3 TDs)
@Pats L 1-5 (Tight game, both teams score 35+, Pats win on a last second FG)
vs Cards W 2-5 (Murray has a field day, but so does Barkley)
@Lions L 2-6 (Rough game for Jones)
vs Cowboys L 2-7 (Better showing for Jones, defense is no where to be seen)
@ Jets L - 2-8 (The trend continues, defense is awful, Darnold throws 5 TDs. Jones throws 3.)
Bye week
@ Bears W 3-8 (Shocker, low scoring game that the Giants dominate)
vs Green Bay L 3-9 (Shootout, 30+ points each at the half, but the Giants can't keep up)
@ Philly W 4-9 (Fuck it, Jones does what Eli hasn't done in what seems forever, beats the Eagles)
vs Dolphins L 4-10 (Let down game after beating the Eagles, Rosen throws for 4 TDs)
@ Redskins W 5-10 (The Giants annual meaningless late season win again the Redskins, Haskins struggles)
vs Philly L 5-11 (Close game, a star player gets a devastating injury that affects 2020 the season)

Lots of highs, lots of lows.
Jones is up and down, but shows promise.
Barkley the same, up and down, less promise than rookie year.
The defense is awful, the reason they lose most of the games.

If you’re picking 4, 5, 6, and maybe even 7 wins with this schedule you’re saying we’re a worse team than last year. I guess that’s possible but hard to see the logic behind that. Just the schedule would give us one or two wins even if we’re no better than last year. Maybe I’m wrong about the significant talent upgrade on this team but you’d have to show me where.

It's not that. Its last year GMEn beat 4 backup QB's.
6-10
giantstock : 6/4/2019 9:01 am : link
The big year is 2020. Another year of drafting. Jones takes over the team. Big year in FA.

Clowney, Daryl Williams/La’el Collins and Lavishka Shenault (WR) in the 1st round ... playoffs.

I agree, people have just as much right to be pessimistic as they are to be optimistic. I just find the constant pessimism to be exhausting and pointless.
