Comeback in team history? At least in the last 40year?It was the Eli and JPP show, both of them were amazing that night. One of my all-time favorite games ever. Greatest regular season comeback - ( New Window )
the 17-0 comeback vs. the 49ers in 1986 was more impressive, keeping in mind the following.
That 49er team got Joe Montana back and was starting to right themselves after a slow start to the season when Montana went out with a back injury and Jeff Kemp was the starter. And they were playing for some revenge after losing the Wild Card to the Giants the year before.
The Giants had to play a cross country Monday Night game after a few tough games in a row winning at Minnesota and then beating the Broncos the week before. The following week the Giants had to fly cross country again and go to RFK to play the Redskins on a short week.
That 2011 Dallas team finished 8-8 at the end of the day. The Niners were a much better team.
How could I forget the Bavaro game...only reason I would take the 2011 game over that one is because if they lost it would have become a 5 game skid and ended any hope for the playoffs.
Our first glimpse of Iron Man Eli. Took a beating that day and just kept slinging it.
"Get that shit outta here!"
Ditto. Sacked eight times, got up off the canvas every time. Down 24-7 in the 4th quarter.
You know, the TD pass to Burress in the Super Bowl...when I saw how the Giants lined up, and the Pats had single coverage on Plax, I immediately thought of that TD pass against Philly in OT.
performance by Eli. And the entire O -- Jacobs was a horse that night. O-line played well (boothe's snaps were awful all night but other than that). That 2011 team was a well oiled machine coming down the stretch. And of course JPP became a household name that night.
For those who watch on youtube, protip: "L" key is FF 10 seconds, helps a lot when watching games.
Plus after 1983 it was the start of the real Parcells era and the year he won his first playoff game. It was also the first year I was able to go to road games. 1984 built to 1985 and 1986. Those 3 seasons were as good a consecutive run as it ever got in 50+ years I've followed the Giants. 1984 Giants vs Chiefs - ( New Window )

Remember they came into that game on a 4 game slide ...if they lose it is all over for them.To me just based on that it is one of the greatest if not the greatest comeback win. They picked the entire season up off of the canvas that night
I think I even started a thread on it. Week 14 at Dallas was NYG’s greatest regular season moment, win, whatever you want to call it, busted ass moment, in franchise history. When you factor in the stakes, the degree of difficulty, the OPPOSITION and what they had at stake, it’s a stone cold lock. Other moments might get more attention, 1981 home finale vs Dallas and many more, but 2011 takes the cake.
might be the best five minutes of Eli's career. Obviously not the most important or dramatic, but throw for throw that's the best I've seen him perform. Two long touchdown drives that featured several throws with a degree of difficulty that was off the charts - Manningham even dropped a long TD right in his hands, and Eli bounced right back with a laser to Ballard which put them right at the goal line. It was a legendary performance that led directly to a championship.

Here is the review I did of that 1986 game a few years back.

"Get that shit outta here!"
Giants lost 7-3 but it was an epic game.
We got revenge January 20, 1991. "The word from the sidelines is everything hurts".
Why doesn't anyone choose a more recnt comeback?

loved beating Dallas in the last game to not only win the division, but knock them out of the playoffs
