Trent Williams issues with Skins are not financial at all according to numerous sources with knowledge of the situation. He's told teammates he has demanded a trade or his release from the club due to their handling of his recent medical situation. Has vowed not to play for them |
For God's sake, man, don't call for that moron.
ace is usually NOT in the house once things @ Skins Central predictably deteriorate per usual.
Same song and dance every year.
Talks a big game about the Redskins in the offseason, then, as soon as the ship starts sinking, he vanishes until the next year.
Rinse, repeat!
But this makes a helluva lot more sense now. Good for him telling them to pound sand.
The Browns, Jaguars, Panthers, Cardinals, and Seahawks could have some interest as well
La Canfora is the former local beat writer for the Skins. He's very connected to that team. Not others, but the Skins he has sources.
Everything is heresay at this point.
If it is true, I would have no issues trading Williams for a 1st or 2nd Rd pick.
He's 30 (31 very soon) hasn't played 16 games in a season in some time, yet has been to 7 straight pro bowls I believe.
But he's a hell of a LT, when healthy.
I'm betting Houston or Cleveland would be interested.
If these rumors are true, I would trade him & get some good draft resources. (Or for a player)
I would also claim LT Desmond Harrison off waivers.
I'm not worried...
2020 is supposed to have very good Tackles in that draft class.

I doubt anyone gives up a 1st for someone on the wrong side of 30 who hasn't played a full season in a while. It only takes one though to make me wrong...
But I guess it depends on how teams feel about his injury history and what that means down the road. 31 isn't old for an OL if he's not too beat up. I wonder if the Patriots will be interested. There are plenty of teams who could use a Pro Bowl left tackle. It won't be a NFC East team that lands him, that's for sure, and if the Redskins are smart, they will ship him to the AFC.

LOL you’re more delusional than I thought if you think a team is going to give a 1st or 2nd for a 31 year old LT with his injury history this late into the offseason. Houston just drafted two OT’s in the first two rounds plus they signed Matt Kalil in free agency.
Why would you be worried about losing your LT? It’s not like the Redskins just drafted an immobile QB in the 1st round. I’m sure he will be fine with Ereck Flowers protecting his blindside.
Unless Snyder can trade with himself, there's no way a 1st rounder is getting exchanged here.

So wait. We trade a 1st or 2nd for him, then try to trade him to Houston or Cleveland and get some good draft resources for him? We trade draft picks to get draft picks with the team we trade him to knowing what we got him for????
Pure brilliance there, ace.

What would Trent Williams give us that Nate Solder doesn't give us? He might be an upgrade if healthy, but I'd rather have Solder for 16 games than Williams for 12. The Giants wouldn't be interested.
They're screwed without him. He's their franchise player on the offensive line and makes their offense go.

Section125 - whenever Ace refers to "I/We", it is in reference to the Skins. Ace is a Skins fan trolling a Giants board.
