Cortland State fans, we need to root for Jake Ceresna

Graduated from C-State in 2016 and was picked up by the Jets. Didn't make it, due to an injury.

Ceresna then spent the fall of 2016 serving as an assistant coach with the Cortland football team.

After his release, Ceresna went north of the border hoping to continue his playing career, where he would sign a contract with the Ottawa Redblacks of the Canadian Football League for the 2017 season.

With Ottawa, he appeared in 14 games, and finished with 18 tackles and a pair of sacks. Following that season, he would sign a contract with the Edmonton Eskimos. 2018 proved to be a breakout season of sorts for Ceresna, as he would go on to play in all 18 games, compiling 32 tackles and eight sacks, a number which tied him for second on the team and seventh in the league.

If the DE were to make the squad, he'd be just the second Cortland State player to spend time in the NFL.

LET'S GO!!!

they play in the biggest little game every year for the Cortica jug against my son's Ithaca Bombers. Game will be played at MetLife on 11/16, with an eye on breaking D3 attendance record.

Most casual football fans, most likely. The Cortaca Jug rivalry with Ithaca goes back to 1959 ... and the teams started playing each other in 1930.

just called it "Cortland". I thought this was someplace difference. Played them when I was SLU.
