forgotten or didn't know the story (likely nobody forgot who was swindled), Klien closed shop without providing any refunds after he had just run a campaign for lifetime subscriptions.

He not only refused to give refunds, he came to BBI to stand by that decision.

I was a subscriber to Inside Sports when it folded (before the issue way in the future that Biff had). I never had to make an inquiry - they sent me a check for the balance of issues they missed.

It would have been one thing if Klein even threw himself on the mercy of the fans but his basic comment was that it was too bad we paid. Our fault.

What a dick move on the last money grab. Too bad this didn't happen in this day and age. He would have been roasted across the internet.

my subscription when he shut it down. Then the fucker starts a new publication and wants me to subscribe and pay for it when I had 11 months of paid subscription to his other newspaper.

I emailed him and called him a crook. He said he resented being called a crook. I replied, so you don't deny being a crook you just don't like being called one.

But in the end he was a greedy dickhead.

I was more fortunate than many, I only lost 2 or 3 months.

I still have about 10 or 11 years of those issues, from about 1983...

it was a good paper, but he's a dick for folding and keeping the money

I wished I still had the issue but have no idea when
it was but my Prediction after going I think
