What I remember most was Ron Dixon to the house. That place was rockin
I had just moved to Philly and all week heard about how the Eagles wouldn't lose to the Giants three times in a season. This play was a big yes they are to start the game.
The guy was on his way to being an all-time great Â
I took my son to the preseason game against the Jets. When I saw Sehorn running out on the kick return team, I said something like what the hell is he doing on the field on that play. The Jets were fired up like it was a playoff game. When he got hurt, it did not look like a serious injury. Got extra pissed when I read that Sehorn badgered Fassel to let him run back kicks. Waste of talent in a meaningless game

Anyone else?
I was sitting around 12 rows off the field right at that side goal line, I can still picture it.
Also memorable was Dixon runback at the opening KO - the cheering was absolutely seismic.
was such a great athlete he could have played both sides of the ball like Deion did at the time. I remember when he was drafted everybody assumed it was to play safety even Eric didn't like the pick at the time.
Opening play, Dixon to the house. One of the only times I was really pissed at my father. The whole drive home I said we are going to the NFC champ game (we live in upstate NY) next week. He refused. Said we would get killed by Culpepper, Carter and Moss. We all know the deal, 41-0.
He still comes to my home in our fancave for every Giant games. I still give him sh*t about it at least 6x a season. I also said we lost to Bmore in the SB because he refused to go with me.

I also met him, courtside while living in Charlotte from 2006 - 2012. I had company seats, front row with the cheerleaders. Sehorn and Angie sat next to us a bunch. We talked extensively about that play, he is a really down to earth person. If I knew how to actually post a picture, I would post the one I took of us.
I met Sehorn at a large party the night before the Phoenix Super Bowl and after I told him that the catch was one of the greatest athletic exploits I'd ever seen in person, he said "when I saw it on the Jumbotron, I immediately knew that fans would remember me"
Went with my parents and we had to park so far away that we missed Dixon’s kickoff return for a TD. Still vividly remember walking from what seemed like 2 miles away and the stadium erupting in celebration.
Me too. When they show the view from the upper deck going down into the field that’s my section.
Still, giving him that 6 year $36 million (?) extension after that season was a bad contract.
Yes Ron Dixon should have been a long term return solution that era

Fassel's teams usually beat the other NFC East opponents like a drum in his first 4 seasons

When Dixon took that KO to the house though, it was the single loudest time I have ever heard Giants Stadium.
ever...
I was there... Section 326, Row 10, seats 12 and 13
