Eli to Golden Tate

Hard to say Eli's arm has lost something when you look at the throw to Golden Tate.

Eli to Golden Tate - ( New Window )
Nice call.

That was about a 35 yard rope.

And inversely people don't see what they don't want to see. Works both ways.

This Eli thing is irrational

There are very few here that see the middle ground.
No one supports Eli more than I do,

at least since the 2007 regular season finale..I am quite aware of eho he is and has been..

But to say he threw a rope in pitch and catch without ANY pressure at all, where he can plant his feet at will, is, imo, silly..Can he plant and throw a rope with extreme pressure in game situations. That’s what I am interested in with the 2019 Eli, NOT what he does when he can set, plant and rope it sans pressure..

This, TO ME, means very little.
Can’t really tell much watching a video

We are going to find out what Eli has left, one way or another, as the season goes. It’s really just a shitty way for the guy to end his career —amidst speculation and innuendos. Let’s hope he finishes on a high note.
Eli will be hoisting the Lombardi when this season ends...

And then walk off into the sunset for all of us to miss. Well some of us anyways.

Had to watch Shane in film class.

Surprised how much I liked it as I'm not a big Western guy.

On the Batman TV show of the 1960's, one of the Special Guest Villain's was a western gunslinger type called "Shame," played by Cliff Robertson. Of course there was a little kid, too. "Come back, Shame!" I was around six or seven when that aired, and I didn't get the reference until, maybe, ten years later when I first saw Shane on TV.
I don't think picking 1 throw

in camp with conditions that have nothing to do with game action is really the best way to try to make an argument.

Zeke, the genre just HAPPENED TO BE in Western form, but it has always been known for its acting, pacing, editing, directing, not to mention cinematography..Some say “The Searchers” with John Wayne (which I liked as a kid) was arguably the best Western ever made. Imho, it can’t hold a candle to Shane or High Noon..
High Noon was laughable.

I'll take Stagecoach.
Kyle made the same throw at the end there

So in one sense Eli looks as good as a 24 year old. In another sense it’s a pretty routine pass.

I have not been on the “Eli has lost it” train but the guy is 38 things are what they are. It’s a simple fact of life that he doesn’t have a 24 year old virgin arm. Some mileage and age is expected.
Regarding Eli

Every year, my tradition is to watch (4) NYG SB win DVDs in the off-week before the game.

So I get to see the young ELI after cringing through another tepid season.

All I can say is....HOLY SHITTT*
