Drew Brees, “jewelry addict”

Came across video of the Drew Brees testimony against his jeweler and found it fascinating. Seems like Brees spent over 20 million+ on diamonds expecting them to be investments...but lo and behold he overpaid by 9 million and now wants his money back! Wow...on many levels! Play on, Drew.

was supposedly robbed of a half million in Jewelry by two ex-girlfriends. Sorry, but what moron keeps that amount of Jewelry in his house? And if he kept it in a safe at home, what moron possibly gives the combination or key to their safe to a non-spouse?

As a investment sounds like a poor idea since the diamond market is artificially controlled by the houses in the amount of diamonds that hit the market

Brees is really a dope. Between this and the MLM sponsorships I've lost a lot of respect for him off the field.

I do also get a kick out of thinking about the meltdown that would happen and things that would be said about him if this was Beckham purchasing $20 million in diamonds and suing his jeweler over it and missing mandatory team practice for it :)
Unlike Bell, Brees still has his diamonds. He just overpaid for them.

Now Brees knows what NFL team owners feel like when they pay out millions of dollars to players who are not worth squat.

I'm guessing that after the trial, the diamond merchant leaves town and changes the name of his jewelry business.

Investments? ... go see a financial adviser.
