NFT: 2002 science fiction movie "Solaris"

The original is supposed to be better, but I never saw that.

Loved it and bought it.
Yeah, you’re right - it’s rarely brought up.
The directing and flow of the movie is what stands out the most for me.

It's not the kind of film that the masses enjoy. Very slow moving.

I still watch it from time to time, puts my wife to sleep immediately but she watches because it's Clooney at an age she finds incredibly attractive.

Well actually, she finds him attractive at any age, I guess.

The Authors name escapes me at the moment (happens all too often lately) however, it is basically a bifurcation of two age old Philosophical arguments: self determination (“The Matrix,”) as well as the “Braino,” conundrum. Unfortunately, there are harried moments, however subtle, that delve into other theories, sans logic or dialectic theory.

Great Movie, and Clooney kills it. I loved “Moon,” & consider Sam Rockwell, multifaceted. However, he is not in the same Universe as Clooney when comparing the acting in both movies, that poke at both Philosophy, & Religion.

Duncan Jones, who wrote and directed Moon, which I've seen 3 times, is David Bowie's son.

in 1968. Nothing has come close to 2001. Nothing... It's like, ok, we might as well all go home now and not try anymore. Stanley nailed it, it's done :(

But not much else, if anything, that approaches the caliber of 2001.
