The Met's second-baseman.

It has to be because he looks like hot garbage.

Give Adams a chance. Against this Mets team this isn't over.
6-0

Let's go Adams!

lol. Mets came in 1 game under .500. This isnt the Marlins.
This was atrocious from Paxton
dpinzow : 6/11/2019 8:12 pm : link
Wondering if he’s healthy because giving up 6 runs to the Mets is what either injured pitchers or non-MLB quality pitchers do
Not a fan of this acquisition thus far.
Dave in Hoboken : 6/11/2019 8:13 pm : link
Looking like we need not one but two starters. Lovely.
Against the Red Sox or Rays, maybe.

was 95 high and away on the HR pitch to Alonso. That's one where you tip your cap to the hitter and move along.

The book on Alonso is that he will chase high fastballs. I think Pax needed to throw that a few inches higher.

I calls em like I sees em. Mets aren't as good as the Yankees and it follows the Yankees should be the crap out of them every time they play them.
Vargas
RasputinPrime : 6/11/2019 8:18 pm : link
doesn't need a few extra inches off the plate. Enough already.
The Mets don't have any trouble scoring runs.
81_Great_Dane : 6/11/2019 8:19 pm : link
They hit pretty well. They get on base. Their defense is bad and their pitching has been wildly uneven. Every scoreless inning from Vargas feels like a miracle, yet he pitched a complete game shutout a few days ago. Who knows what to expect from these guys.

If you can call in any favors and make sure their pitching is especially bad the rest of the game i'd be much obliged.

He just seems to find a way with RISP and especially with less than two outs.

Halved the lead with plenty of game left.

I'll gladly be the thing that holds the thing that maintains the most important thing. Don't be jealous - oh wait....

Gio was a bad and lazy play going over the shoulder...results in 2 run bomb by Davis. Adams not helping himself with an awful slider.

8-3
Paxton likely
Kyle in NY : 6/11/2019 8:37 pm : link
is not fully healthy. We need a starting pitcher yesterday
Who the hell is JD Davis?
Greg from LI : 6/11/2019 8:39 pm : link
Cmon....it's one thing to get beaten, it's another thing to get beaten by some random hump like that.
No worries
Eman11 : 6/11/2019 8:39 pm : link
This is gonna end up with a football final score and the Bombers will be on top.
Like I said, the Mets score runs.
81_Great_Dane : 6/11/2019 8:39 pm : link
If Vargas can't get through 6, though, they may need 10+ runs to win. The bullpen is that bad.

We needed another starter before the season started and certainly when Sevy went down. Regardless of how we do in the regular season, this rotation isn't going to beat Verlander-Cole-____-Verlander-Cole.

He's no random hump. He is a former Astro who could take the perpetually open first-base position.

Either way, with the baseball jumping, anything in the air seems to be going out. Makes Judge and Stanton being out almost unbearable. They'd be up to 30 apiece by now.

Well Chance Adams isn’t exactly a legend in his own right.

LarmerTJR : 6/11/2019 8:44 pm : link
Again. One hitter to truly worry about and getting beat by the rest is unacceptable.

Sorry, but it’s true.

He's got a glove for that position too? Crazy.

Don't be hating on Chance. He's picking his moment to shine.
And now a washed up Carlos Gomez...

ZGiants98 : 6/11/2019 9:10 pm : link
Cano 3-3 with two doubles and an RBI.
Nimmo 0-3 with a walk.
Justin Wilson one scoreless, 2ks, touching 94-ish

Scored double digit runs this year??? Absolute embarrassment to this team at home giving up this amount of runs. The Mets can’t score runs there abysmal

arcarsenal : 6/11/2019 9:20 pm : link
I'm not that bummed about losing out on Keuchel, but we're going to need pitching help ASAP.

Can't just assume we'll get Sevy back and he'll have no rust. Pax may have this knee thing bug him for a while. German is on the shelf and might be hitting a bit of a wall. Masa hasn't been able to find his splitter and while Happ has been a little better lately, he's still giving up way to many long balls.

The bullpen is good enough even if Betances can't get back until later this year. The lineup will score enough runs. But, to get through a team like Houston and get to a WS, where the Dodgers will probably be waiting on the other side with those hitters... gonna need some serious pitching help.
.
arcarsenal : 6/11/2019 9:21 pm : link
I didn't even mention CC... but we know what he is at this point. If he gets us 5 innings and gives up 2-3 runs, it's basically a win.

That's fine at the back end of the rotation. But, we really need another TOR starter or at least a middle rotation guy.
I always like Ramos batting with two outs

Nimmo, Cano, and Wilson returning this weekend. Hopefully Lowrie also starts a rehab assignment this weekend....again Rotation is fine, Wheeler's poor start today not withstanding. Pen is evening out. Keep battling... schedule eases up after the all star break.
