I'd split up Judge and Stanton.

Sanchez CA
Gregorius SS
Voit 1B
Hicks CF
Torres 2B
Frazier DH
That lineup is ridiculously good. And that's with missing Andujar! You can sort of see why Cashman didn't feel the need to got get either Harper or Machado. A non-move that's looking pretty good right now as both have struggled this season.

I see the potential for back to back strikeouts being a detriment to them back to back but I also see the pressure they'd put on pitchers. I'd imagine it would be pretty daunting to see them back to back and then followed by Sanchez.
By the time a pitcher got past those guys he'd be pretty spent mentally IMO and I'd imagine physically he wouldn't be in great shape either. If those three even touched him up a little, the rest of the guys following will be feasting.
6th...ridiculous
Because he's been slumping.
Yes there is a difference. Fielders make errors. Strike outs have almost 0% chance of helping except on a dropped strike with a passed ball. A ball in play has a chance for an error. Only thing detrimental on a ball in play is a DP.

If not who the #$%^ cares if a batter strikes out or grounds out, unless there's a man on 3rd with less than 2 out. And if there's a runner on 1st with less than 2 out a K is infinitely better than a double play ball.

I'm not talking about balls in play vs. K's. I'm talking about a guy who hits .260 and K's a lot vs. a guy who hits .260 and hardly ever K's. What's the difference?
Judge hits around .280....is that worse than a guy hitting .260 who rarely K's????

You did not say that and even then you are still wrong about Ks. Nothing good happens from a K unless you are the pitcher.
Now, everyone whiffs, that is understood. But wouldn't you rather see Judge make contact every at bat? With his power he can flick his wrists and hit it 400 ft.
I really hope Judge and Stanton can real it in a bit. With the new magic baseballs they almost don't have to do more than poke at the ball for it to go out.
DJ falling asleep at first.
Another RBI from Frazier who I think is batting over .400 w/RISP.
Maybe Maybin is in trouble......
They do have Tauchman just in case of injury if they let Maybin go.
I agree about Morales but Maybin is a solid pro and still has something left IMO.
Yeah, Maybin has plenty value as a reliable 4th OF. Morales is below marginal at this point. And Maybin is better than Tauchman at this point.
As Gardy mashes again.
Save mound visits - so notes in hats to change signal sequence.
I wonder if when they unintentionally-intentionally walk someone(pitch around) if the lose their feel. He was pounding the zone until that inning.
Can we please get a good pitcher and enough of these mediocre at best pitchers like Happ, Gray, current day CC, etc. Christ. Get a good pitcher in here.
Very easy..
There were some injury concerns with Morton. No idea if we were ever interested but I found the amount we signed Happ for to be ridiculous regardless.
I remember watching This Week in Baseball and homeruns were not the only highlights. Now when i watch highlights, it's basically an exercise in who hit the homers.
He is slugging under .400 and we have him signed for another 6 years. He already looks slow for a CFer

tonight. That was ball three, but close and he looks uncomfortable.

Looks slow? Compared to who?
I'm not worried about Hicks. Just a bad night.

He's had less than 100 AB's this year and his defensive metrics are great thus far. You are really awful at this stuff.
How the hell does a slow guy do that playing CF?
I can't wait until Urshela cools off and people can beat their chest proudly that he's a stiff.
Shut down with a lat injury if I heard it correctly. So just like Sevy, what started out as a shoulder somehow developed into a lat injury - that is what I believe I heard Kay say Tuesday.

Looking for another option to protect against fatigue in the bullpen, which might be setting in on Ottavino.

Lovely
👎🏽
BP must be tired. That crap that Otto threw up there tonight was pathetic.
Oh well, try again tomorrow and hope Stanton doesn't trip in the shower...
Unfortunately, I doubt Toronto or Washington starts unloading before the AS game unless they get a king's ransom.....

Frazier plays the OF and you keep Urshela at 3rd. DH voit. Urshela should not be taking out of this line up its ridiculous now
Because he's been slumping.
So because he is slumping means Tauchman whose batting .211 gets playing time over Urshela. Gio had 3 hits against the Mets he wont come out of it unless he plays there was a off day Wednesday and he didnt play last night. Keep him at 3rd and let Voit DH and Frazier in left simple,
He pitches well for stretches, but he just can't keep the ball in the park.
I am a bit concerned about the starting pitching - to the point where in retrospect, we might regret not going the extra mile to get Keuchel. I know a bunch of guys here will disagree with that - but, if for any reason Severino can't get back and pitch effectively, we're going to be in serious trouble.
It's not even about Keuchel being special or an ace or anything like that. We need starters who can soak up innings and give us length.
Otherwise, we're going to crush the bullpen and overuse guys like Otto, Kahnle and Britton.
Kahnle has been so fucking good that it has basically offset the loss of Betances, so that's been a major plus... but we still will need to ride these guys hard in October, so we need to get more innings from the starters.
Right now, I'm just concerned about Pax's knee barking/bugging him the rest of the year, not getting Sevy back at the level we expect... Masa's missing splitter, Happ not being able to keep the ball in the park, German's innings limit/injury... CC being at the end.
I'd have not only signed Keuchel, but I'd also still have pursued a starter in the trade market on top of that.
It's not panic mode by any means, and it's only June 14th. But you can see some cracks forming in the SP foundation right now and I'd hate to see the whole thing just fall apart there before we can get some reinforcements.
That is true, but they are not playing very good baseball
right now, it's more than a reversion to the mean.
Their rotation has been particularly ugly during this stretch, and the BP not as good.
Another thing is they are not adding on runs when they score early, gives the other team belief.
That occurred again last night, although no excuse for Happ blowing a 4-0 lead to the Pale Hose.
