Might be one of the best season's bets. Computer simulation models have simulated the Giant's chances at 22.5% right in between 4:1 and 5:1.
I'm normally not a gambler, but I'm thinking about dropping $100 on this one.
Thanks to whoever mentioned it some time ago, and found 15:1 odds for the Giants.

How they ran their simulations, IDK, but the strength of schedule factors in heavily it appears. Giants have what - 6th easiest? schedule in 2019.
Giants may be a best bet as division champs - ( New Window )
I actually like Jones and am hopeful this team is finally moving in the right direction, but I think it would take a miracle for the Giants to even win 8 games this year
Eli’s finished, Jones is a rookie, zero pass rush.
If Jones is the real deal I wont care that much about the record this year, just get him as much experience as possible this year.
The roster still isnt any good. The coach is still a loser.
Theres reasons to be optimistic about the future finally, but I dont see any reason to be optimistic about winning a division title in 2019

You shouldn't have used the word "optimistic" anywhere in your post. It's oxymoronic.
We have a better chance of catching lightning in a bottle and going on a run then being a top end team from day 1

Yeh if I had to make a futures bet I'd probably lean superbowl at 125-1. If they were good enough to win the division with a young team like this you gotta like those odds. Plus this opens them up to a much more likely wild card spot.
The Giants' ability to win the division will rest entirely on their own merit in doing so, because the easy schedule is a tide that will lift all the boats in the NFC East.
I am convinced that a large majority of the fans have no clue how the schedule is set, based on the endless complaining when the schedule is released every year

well said Mook
Because the odds NOW are 125:1?
You never know what’s going to happen. Who knows if Wentz holds up? No one knows how many cowboys will be arrested or suspended. The redskins well....
In order to win the division... we are going to have to get lucky, a couple breaks, and some players really stepping up. Probable? No. Possible? Sure.
There were other factors in that. For Giants it seemed like a tale of two seasons last year. The first half when the offensive line was in disarray, and hen the second half when the line improved and the offense shifted to be more Barkley centric. In a 5 win season they lost to the division winners by a total of 8 points, destroying Washington in the second half and really owning the eagles for the better part of 3 quarters in the second contest(still not sure why they got away from Barkley in that one as he was dominant).
I think the poor play of the offensive line really handcuffed the Giants early on, and on defense they simply lacked players. The line looks to be even more improved than it was in second half of 2018 which is great news for Barkley as I think he is the best weapon in the division. I think despite the losses of Vernon and Collins the defense has more tools for Bettcher to work with although they are very young and unproven. The oline and defense seemed to be the two areas with the most room for improvement and it looks as though the Giants have made strides in both those areas, I think they definitely have the personnel to offer up Dallas and Philadelphia stiffer competition in 2019 so I see no reason not to be optimistic.
James Bettcher's first season came with giant limitations - ( New Window )
