A little more subdued but still good
Could be 6 or 7-0

they have some great chances.
Extremely good at

passing. To unselfish in and around the box passing and not shooting.

The women don't roll around on the ground after fouls.

Yes she did.
Players Who Stood Out

Everyone will be talking Llyod, but I thought that Press, Pugh and Davidson were very strong today. Also thought that McDonald had an instant impact when she got into the game.

I would emphatically add Ali Krieger, she virtually set up the space from her right outside back position. She's so confident on the ball, so decisive, so powerful.

Endler was terrific, a difference maker, and as Ali Wagner suggested, she may have been in Lloyd's head on the penalty shot.

Agree with Krieger. Press missed too many shots, but otherwise had a strong game.
Personally...

I hope they lose the World Cup. I'm certain that this will draw some criticism but I'm not a fan of our team. Viva La France.
But were their

goal celebrations appropriate?

Why? Seems pretty rash statement. So they hotdogged a bit on the first day. They are that good. See what happens when they play Sweden, who "only" beat Thailand 5-1. They beat Chile with a lot of the 1st team sitting out.

That’s dumb. Unless you are French.
Unfortunately, BBI proves over and over again

Yes she did.

She's the keeper for PSG's women's team, so she's world-class and was actually playing in her "home" stadium in Paris.
Krieger was great
PaulBlakeTSU : 6/16/2019 9:16 pm : link
and while she didn't have much to do, Sauerbrunn continues her reign as an absolute force on the defensive line.
Ertz playing almost a sweeper role
dpinzow : 6/17/2019 7:07 am : link
is unique and requires rare skill to execute. I know they technically have her as a holding midfielder but she’s essentially another central defender who pushes forward and loves to join the attack when given the chance. That could be the difference when the US goes against the better teams

Spider56 : 6/17/2019 7:33 am : link
I hope they beat France 14-0 ... though France would probably put up a white flag and surrender at halftime.

And

Chile beats Thailand by 22 goals

quality margin over the field. France is solid with a ton of experience and neither France nor Canada any longer has to rely on just one goal scoring threat up front in LeSommer and Sinclair, respectively: each has threats on the wings, skilled, athletic, and aggressive. Looking forward to the meat of the Tournament. Corinne Diacre is a hard driving coach of the host team.
