NFT: anyone use Carvana?

Ned In Atlanta : 6/17/2019 1:24 pm
We have been thinking about replacing my wife's 05 camry with a mid-sized suv at the end of the year. A $750 computer part has expedited that process. Anyone used this service? I'm not opposed to haggling but with a busy work schedule and vacations coming up don't know if i'll the time and energy to scour auto trader, craigs list or go to dealerships.
I bought my car from them

and had a very good experience. Their customer service was quick and responsive. So much better of an experience that I’ve had with dealerships.
I hate to jump in

but what is Carvana? I have to get my wife a new ride and have been putting it off because I hate the process and especially the dealerships.

Go to carvana.com and check it out. It's an online site where you buy cars and they deliver them to your door (for free, depending on the state you live in).
Thanks Met. I checked it out

seems promising. Has anyone used one of these car buyer guys before? I have a friend of a friend that is doing that and it was tempting just to avoid all the normal aggravations, but I kind of feel like there will still be a ton of the usual annoyances and it would just involve a third person trying to tell me why I should buy X car.

I second this. Got a good deal, customer service was VERY good, and they delivered the vehicle to my fairly remote location. I'd use them again.
Yes, I sold a car to them

It was easily the best car selling experience I have ever had. I logged on to their site, filled out a quick questionnaire, they quoted my KBB value, I accepted and they send an guy out with a truck to pick it up in a few days. He walked around the car once, drove it around the block then had me sign a few papers and handed me the check.

The whole process cumulatively was maybe 5 minutes.

I did the online process to get an offer, but the dealer offered the same for the trade in. Was nice to have the offer to fall back on if the dealer lowballed me.
