I don't get the love for Hicks always betting high in the order. His best season he hit .266. IMO,. You can't compare him to Torres. When the Yankees get all their players back, Hicks might be the worst hitter in the lineup.
RE: 2 games ago in Boston Chirinos was nearly unhittable
When asked about being only a few million short of getting Keuchel and why he simply just didn't "push a bit higher" to sign him.
Many fans have been calling up over the last few weeks wondering why the Yankees seemingly (and frustratingly) stopped just short of signing him based on the final deal he signed with the Braves.
Cashman said that he had no idea what other clubs were bidding, and that the agent did not inform him of how close/far he was. The agent never told Brian - hey if you come up to this amount we will sign with you.
Kay followed up by asking if he knew, would he have gone higher to match the Braves. Cashman said that he didn't want to "play that game," because it never happened.

His OBP the last two years was .372 and .366.
What the hell is an OBP? Just give me a lineup full of guys who know how to put the ball in play and move runners over....that's how you win Championships!

Keuchel in NY was a poor fit. His numbers would have been mediocre at best, especially if he didn't hit the ground running, and he would have reentered FA that way. He wanted the Yankees perceived to be involved to drive the price up, but the Braves put him in a much better spot heading into his do-over free agency.
A remarkable article. One suspects that the drag coefficient could be lowered even more (producing even more homers) if the pitcher were to receive a new ball after every pitch instead of only when the pitched ball hits the ground on its way to the catcher.

Hicks is a pro hitter who may have the best eye on the team outside of Judge or Gardner.
I ate sushi for lunch and i'm taking all the credit for that inning. I can't promise anything after the first though, since I had rice crispies for a snack.
Still been a very good pitcher for the Rays. WHIP at 0.93 and 2.88 ERA for the season.

5.1 innings of 4 ER ball against the Twins is a forgiveable sin right now. They are absolutely punishing the ball, top to bottom in their lineup.
and his .356 OBP doesn't hurt

had that issue but beefedup my plugins and now i get no commercials. I get MLB highlights.
I get commercials and highlights on my ps4. On my PC I get a screen shot that says "commercial in progresss" most of the time. Quite nice.
It was worse a few game back...the slider looks good tonight, he is still hanging on to the split.
Pick Portland or Montreal and get this shit done.
wow what a shot.
Everyone grieves differently. He sounds ok on the TV to me.

True. Sounds like she has been sick...i guess if it were me I would go home to my family...Love Paulie though.
No. Maybe they weren't close. Maybe like me, he hates funerals.
Is it just me or does anyone else think sometimes Gary makes up his mind he's swinging at a pitch before its thrown and hacks away no matter what?
I can see being a guess hitter early in a count but with two strikes he's got to be more disciplined.
