wow, I had no clue how popular she was in the food writing industry.
She always struck me as pretty cool in the Anthony Bourdain mode of exploring all kinds of food. She was the only girl with five brothers; Paul the youngest. She wrote about that too.
secret conversation between Cashman and Stanton a month ago Â
The only way I can think of barring another injury is to carry one less reliever and it's possible they do just that. At least early on in Stanton and Judge's return.
I guess they'd always have Frazier to call back up if they lost Maybin and one of those guys tweeks something again, but I think they clearly like what Maybin brings.
It's going to be interesting to see what they do but I hope they find a way to keep him.

There has to be a trade coming. Way too many good players to find homes for.

and after those trades when the injuries come? I say stay the hand until we really need to make a move or an arm is available at a price we can happily pounce at.
is becoming one of my favorite Yankees. Just a really good ballplayer. One of those guys you have to see everyday to fully appreciate his fielding and his pros-pro approach at the plate and his situational hitting in the clutch. Consistent, calm, quiet and delivers

pisses me off with today's pitchers. Tanaka was up 1-2 and threw two awful pitches to Meadows to get to 3-2 then walks him. Why do you waste pitches when you are limited to 100.

Definitely so.
for all the talk about Machado and Harper, it shows how firmly behind Cashman the organization is in 2019. Can you imagine if we had Machado but had to sacrifice DJ, Ottavino and Britton?

Because Meadows dented the RF wall about 6 inches from the top the last time he was up.

Then int pass him. You don't get to 1-2 count and waste it.

I think he just didn't make his pitches. His stuff has been good tonight but his command remains a little off.
Lol, you little troll. How'd it go in the ALDS last year with all those home runs?
I knew that would get you LOL
. Let's play "Who Am I?". "I went 2-18 with no walks, no runs scored no RBIs, no HRs,6 Ks, leaving 15 men on base while batting clean up in the 2018 ALDS."

Gary is K'ing way too often on pitches out of the zone. This wasn't a good AB.
Is it just me or does anyone else think sometimes Gary makes up his mind he's swinging at a pitch before its thrown and hacks away no matter what?
I can see being a guess hitter early in a count but with two strikes he's got to be more disciplined.
Like ARod. Guess hitter for sure.

Yeah that's my take too and I'm not knocking him. I was just wondering if it was just my take on him.
There's not another catcher in the game I'd rather have but he does have me scratching my head sometimes with his approach at the plate.

"mmmhmmm"
"Fine. Then you won't need to DH the rest of the year."

I think that would work fine for Stanton as I don't think he really likes being the DH. He seems like he's much more into being an all around player.

He clearly stated he feels more in the game when he is in the field. He may hit better.

Luke was guessing FB on that first pitch.

Good plan. Hope they execute it.
Definitely so.

One of our starters into the 7th inning when he is shutting out the other team?
.....uhhhhhhhhh.....but we can throw out a reliever who may or may not have their good stuff instead.

Cessa wouldn't be missed.
90 pitches. One more? Maybe if they get a run or two more...
His control seems to be weakening a bit, too. Say thanks and sit him down.

Tauchman goes for Stanton, and Cessa should go for Judge.
Cortes and Hale make Cessa expendable.
