Edwin Jackson is still, somehow, in MLB. Put up this line tonight: two-thirds of an inning, 6 hits, 2 walks, 7 runs, 3 homers. On the year, in 7 games he's 1-5, 12.34, 46 hits, 12 walks, 12 homers allowed in 25.1 IP.

Enigma is a good description for Tanaka. When his splitter and slider are on like last night, he’s almost unhittable. When he doesn’t have them, his fastball isn’t good enough to get him through.
Regardless, that was a big time start last night. He’s no doubt our most trusted big game pitcher.
