Next years draft is going to be a great one, and very deep. Last year it was this good we had numb nuts giving up the farm for St. Louis. Thank God he is gone, although he left parting gifts with the Girardi, Staal, Smith, Shattinkirk, and Lundqvist contcacts.
They are doing this rebuild well so far. The price was low because he is either a one year rental, or they will need to pay up next year. But much easier to commit to that after seeing him play in your system for a year.
Good discussion, with the exception of Anak’s rabid and blind homerism which is nothing new. There are plenty of people who don’t dream of living in New York.

JP, I'll be watching intently to see how far off Fox and Rykov are. I guess it's a given, but it's worth pointing out that with JD, Gorton, and Quinn the Rangers have superb hockey people at positions that matter and capable of assessing talent and their appropriate level of competition.

Fox, Rykov and Lindgren start the year in Hartford.
Miller, Lundkvist and Reunanen a year or two away.
Hopefully one or more of Staal, Shattenkirk and Smith are either traded, buried in Hartford and/or bought out.
