These import sellers on Amazon have been buying reviews for ages, and Amazon has been cracking down on the practice of giving away free product for good reviews for awhile. They're going to continue to find ways to get those reviews to pump their crap, this being one of them.
Basically - if you really need a review to convince you and it's not a known product from an established brand, you shouldn't buy anything before passing it through fakespot and reviewmeta first.
I know that have been on the receiving end of these gifts, neither have been the ones writing the reviews and are now feeling vulnerable on how much of their personal info is out there.
