I like that it’s not a massive budget and that they are passing the baton to a new, young generation. Could still end up sucking but it already seems light years better than the Femalebusters Reboot.

and it really hit me just how ludicrous that plot was - a river of slime is energized by the negativity in New York City, and can only be stopped by positive vibes. Oh, and some dude jumps out of a painting. But hey, I still enjoyed it. I'm optimistic about this next installment - Moranis has said a new Ghostbusters movie would get him out of retirement, so we'll see.

trailer was released a few months ago and it said summer 2020 but i dont think filming has started yet ,it would have been cool if we got it on the 35th anniversary of the first one .Speaking of the first one i always remember that month of June 1984 being awesome for movies ,Temple of Doom came out memorial day weekend then you had Ghostbusters ,Karate Kid,Gremlins,Streets of Fire ,Bachelor Party all whiten that month ,1984 was a great year for movies

I am surprised with all the sequels and reboots no one has ever touched Ferris, the breakfast club or the Goonies. There is an artistic argument to let them be as 80s classics but I would think on their names alone those three would be very profitable as Gen Xrs who still pay to go to the theatre would be all over it.

I know it was campy and not as good as 1, but I still loved it and still think Vigo was a better villian than Gozer

Whenever it was on, I couldn't aow myself to watch more than 5 minutes (I then forgot them). A river of slime....ok....

These would be more like cameos or supporting roles- highly doubt it will heavily feature the old characters/actors. The focus will be on the new characters.

I find most sequels better then the first film, it's the 3rd film where everything goes exceptionally wrong.

Wrath of Khan, Empire Strikes Back, Aliens, Road Warrior, Winter Soldier, maybe T2.

is a great sequel and was the first Summer blockbuster .
