We have two older bathrooms that need to be renovated. In one, I would like to take out the tub and replace it with a shower stall. Has anyone used Bath Fitter, or had any experience in installing one of these bath/shower replacement kits? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks a lot!
Also, if there’s room in the proposed shower stall, have a bench seat installed. It’s great feature for the ladies when they want to shave their legs. Good luck.

That's what I'm going through right now. Building a house and we are tiling our master for sure. My daughters bathroom will be tub+tile but the downstairs full bath was either going to be a standing shower insert or all tile. I'm going to just pay the extra to make it all tile, just so much better looking and if something breaks you can fix it yourself (or have a professional do it without having to tae out the entire stall.
I was surprised to see how much they wanted. One of my coworkers asked me to look over an estimate that he got from BF - which IMO, even for the expensive NYC suburbs would be enough for him to have a full demo of the bathroom with tiling and an enameled tub put in. When he declined, they basically came back with an offer to do the same work for 40% less.
