Both OBJ and Nat Berhe commented on the NYG today

OBJ

Interview with Complex UK concerning the “OBJ Euro Tour,”

“I just felt with the Giants I was just stuck at a place that wasn’t working for me anymore. I felt like I wasn’t going to be able to reach my full potential there; mentally, physically, spiritually, everything I felt capable of doing, I just couldn’t see it happening there,” Beckham said. “So I think allowing me to be in an environment where I can be myself and give it a different approach, I feel like my football will benefit. I’m just excited about being able to play football again and not have to deal with all the other stuff and politics that came with my previous role.”

D’Ardoo 247 Sports: Nat Berhe would welcome training camp invite from Steelers

"I love those guys in NY," he said. "Its unfortunate we couldn't win more games but that wasn't for a lack of 'want to' by anyone in the organization."

I believe glowrider may be referring to this with the "Saquon throwing shade" comment. It's the only thing I can think of at least... Shade? - ( New Window )

Yep, this is what I was referring to. Thanks for the link. This made such an impression on me, and then it was internet fodder.

Hey Optimus - I’m good, thanks! Been in Africa the last several years running the NGOs I established. Are you still in the MENA area? I hope youve been well in your pursuits. I’ll be back in Egypt this year. Been a while since I last was there. Should be a good trip! You still have my email :)

Hey glow! I still am. I'm thinking of coming home son though. I plan on going to Egypt around mid-July for about 10 to 14 days or so. I'll email you. Glad to her you're doing well.
Hello and Goodbye

It's likely been said elsewhere, but it's additionally self-defeating that OBJ makes such comments and then says, "Hey, I'm going underground for a few weeks to train and will not be reachable." Wait, what?

Will the comments be an issue when he re-surfaces? YES! And the benefits of his "getting his head right" retreat will be lost in 48 hours after his return.
It’s clear OBJ didnt respect

Everyone he played with/worked for and didn’t want to be here.

Yet people here still wishes he was here and we should appease him? Comical at this point.

LT is an absolute piece of shit human being and he is revered around here. If social media existed 20 years ago like it does today, those walk the line guys might not be so straight and narrow like you think.
I know this isn't your main point, but in fairness to us old guys: LT was maybe the greatest force I've ever seen on a football field, but it was apparent even then that he was a terrible guy. If there'd been ubiquitous cameras and social media in those days he would have had a truly terrible reputation, but even without them it was clear who he was.

He broke the players strike/crossed a picket line to earn money for cocaine. (It wasn't hard to figure out his motives there.) Nobody was surprised to find out he was using coke, uppers, whatever he was on. A lot of the really disgusting stuff came later but it's not like we all thought he was a clean-living, churchgoing type. And he's admitted publicly that he retired earlier than he had to so he could use drugs more. Which is sort of every addict's story, but still.

He's revered for his play but not for his personage. And if he'd never done anything wrong after he retired he'd still be a man who'll leave you shaking your head.
Fabulous talent that showed up at wrong time

when franchise was clueless and team lacked leadership. OBJ’s immaturity was too front and center.

Too bad,,,

You don't think an org that won 8 games over two years might have some people who didn't deserve respect?

We will see soon enough if OBJ or the org was right.

Lol. No we don’t. He’s basically said he hated Eli, DG, Shurmur and that he couldn’t reach his potential here.

Getting rid of him was the easiest decision one could make. You don’t go to war with people who don’t want too.
