unless these balls are being redesigned to minimize injuries to pitchers (which I don't believe is the case), then I really resent MLB for choosing to go this route over easing up on regulating drugs that are designed to keep players healthy and assist in their recovery.

You would rather the players dope up? Is that what you are saying?

Remember what Pettitte said he was taking and what Cano alleges he was caught for having taken? There are alot of drugs that do little to no "doping" but do a significant job at helping players recover and stay healthy through the insane 162 game grind. I'm sick of not getting to watch some of the game's best players because they can't stay on the field or watching players unable to stay in the game in their early 30s.
Can you imagine how many greats would never have enjoyed long careers in the 60s and 70s if they were being forced to stay so clean that they almost certainly would never be able to play more than 140 games a season for more than 10 years?
i'll take PEDs over PEB(aseballs). I don't recall any pitchers griping about the use of any drugs. I read about pitchers griping about the baseball.
That is nonsense. Players ingesting some form of testosterone is not anything that should be condoned because not everyone wants to take them. It is not healthy.
That's gotta be the longest one yet this year for a Yankee no?
I think so. They said 3rd longest this year.
I couldn't take any more of Kay so I've had it on mute since the 2nd inning.
3rd longest for a Yankee or MLB? I'd imagine that's MLB as there can't be many guys hitting them that far even with the juiced ball and high HR numbers so far this year.
Stanton had 3 hits last night, including the 2nd hardest hit ball in MLB this year. He carried the Yanks for much of the second half when Judge was hurt last season, playing every day on a bad hammy. They don’t sniff the playoffs without him.
I just don’t understand why so many Yankee fans want to bury him.

He sounds awful, he couldn’t take the night off?
He sounds really awful. Hope he doesn't sprain a lat.

Sadly it looks like Alvarez is going to be legit for the Astros. They get healthy, and they are going to be the team we need to beat.
481! Holy hell.

Impressive stuff.

Don't hold your breath. More likely a pitcher if, big if, Maybin needs to go on IL.
On 2 strike pitches in both cases.
Thanks. I figured it had to be all of MLB.
I don't remember a Yank hitting one longer but it's going to be fun watching these Bombers the rest of the way try to.
