Jimmy Butler deal is complete with Heat -- with Clippers added as a fourth-team in trade that also includes Philadelphia and Portland, league sources tell

and me.
Harkless to LAC, future first also to LAC
Richardson to Philly
Butler gets 142 million
Miami is a weird capped out team that's out future picks and has no upside. Great moves by philly.
Richardson + Horford >>> butler

Miami is capped out and has no stars. Jimmy is the one star that wanted to come and fit their philosophy. Most expensive 6-7 seed
Terrible for the league, disappointed in Kawhi.
He nailed the Horford to Philly thing before anyone. I hope it's been a fluke but this feels inevitable.
At least I would know the Nets' championship parade would be held in the bathroom of the local Applebee's.
It's about time the Lakers get a break. It just goes to show: you run an organization the right way, you build culture, talent will come. It starts from the head (FO) down.
I think the LeBron/AD thing has obviously been organized. Not sure about the Kawhi thing as a lot of people were saying that he didn't want to play with LeBron and preferred the Clippers. It's possible though.
There's a difference. The Lakers are the marquee squad in town like the Knicks are.
The clippers sold off their assets and made the playoffs. The Knicks alienated their star and had the worst team in the league.

does the media kill the clippers like they killed the knicks?

clippers still put all their eggs in the kawhi basket..

Angle that was narrated since last year. This has been organized for over a year.

I don’t believe any reports unless it comes from the source himself. It’s more and more common these guys know where they are playing and who they’re playing with the following year than the current year.
leonard going to the Lakers makes him the next coward in the NBA.
The real question given the financial health and TV ratings for the league is why do people keep saying this is bad. They said it was bad when the heat did it, and when the warriors did it. It's been 9 years. When is the downturn coming?

Players can go wherever they want to go to team up, where is the competitive spirit?

Never because there’s no alternative.
You can say the same things with NFL and MLB with their dumb rules but what’s the alternative? Same goes with WWE.
It still f’n sucks though.
Team cancer. He may not have brought the 76ers down.... but being he was third banana - it was hard for him too. Heat will regret this soon enough.

Buddy who is a big 76ers fan was pumped Buckets was gone. I like Buckets-granted he's never been a Knick-but he does seem to grate people.

The major sports are always competing with each other. In the last 20 years you've seen baseball get passed by football and you're seeing people start to turn on football between quality of play, officiating, pace of play, and even personal politics come into play. I see people complain about basketball, but it doesnt appear to be turning people away from it.

Lol
As a sixer fan, I felt I was waiting for jimmy butter to explode w every loss or media story. Glad they got a decent player out of him.
But I feel team essentially replaced fan favorite Robert Covington with...Robert Covington.
And they still need an off the ball shooter to replace reddick. Maybe Korver
Types and a PG in the worst way.
And will this lineup bee too slow, clumsy and poorly shooting to win a playoff series?

Pretty poor comparison, Cespedes was the talented Cuban who signed for a big contract out of the gates. In his contract years, he flexed his talent to get another payday, then lazy. Butler was the 30th pick and worked is way to a top 20 player. He’s the type that gives it his all, unlike Cespedes. Butler feels kind of similar to Antonio Brown in a way

And what is Butler thinking? Philly is a legit contender, but he'd rather be "the man" on a mediocre team than one of the guys on a championship contender.
