Heya
Not to rant about it, this is really just a question. By my understanding, we're not supposed to get into political stuff here (or at least overtly), yet I'm seeing (what I'm assuming are sponsored) political ads pop up in some of these threads.
Is that weird? I'll hang up and listen.
Well, that explains the "Hot Asian Singles" thing I keep seeing.
But hey....maybe they are guessing.
I do find it good sport to see what ads pop up when I visit the BBI......
Therefore, whoever is getting ads for political stuff someone is looking at political stuff. If you're getting ads for "asian singles" sorry, someone is lookin' at porn.
Eric only has so much control over what ads are seen. If it's the same type I'm assuming it is, he can block some generalized stuff with the third party tracker he uses. Otherwise it's just based on recommended attributes from the data these ad companies have on you.
If you are sick of the ads you're getting, clear your cache/cookies and it should reset.
As wonderful as BBI posters are, some of them cannot control their tempers when faced with political or religious opinions that differ from their own. So, ads: OK. Threads: verboten.
Bob Kraft was on BBI?
This is also true. So I guess there are a lot of posters with Asian women fetish on BBI, huh? NTTAWWT
It could also be simple data analytics. You viewed xyz, and other people who viewed xyz also liked abc. We are going to show you abc.
So yes, it is not all targeted marketing (The stuff that follows you everywhere), but it has a ton do with what you view.
To me that screams that BBI has an older demographic, so they are giving us older demographic marketing.
Even the ads know your a jackass the should be banned.
Why are you making this thread political?

you're
That is so sexist
It's probably a combination of many factors that governs what ads appear.

Highly doubtful that would be tied to my search history. Medication ads as well. I haven't searched for anything even remotely medical in quite some time.

or screams "educated and sophisticated demographic"
That's one defective algorithm then. Search must be skipping over the game day threads.
