Flush him. Flush him down.
I don't know man. We know what the strike zone is supposed to be but these umps now are worse than ever. There's honestly no telling what they'll call a strike and if I'm batting, I'm swinging at anything even remotely close.
I was thinking the same thing
Oil-Can Vargas?
Not a changeable play. But surprised one of the other umps didn't see it, they could have given the home ump help on it.
They should have been given a take sign until two strikes and select hitters until called out.
(Too many homeruns!)
((Hope Urshela isn't hurt.))
Riiight.
1 - get and stay healthy
2 - get and keep healthy a frontline starter if Sevy returns to form by September.
3 - if Sevy doesn't, get two starters.
Rays won 9-6

bring the tying run to the plate. Shitbag Os doing their best to blow a 6-run lead in the 9th.
Orioles won 9-6

The best 3B I saw live was Clete Boyer.
Can't wait to see Boyer.

I would have to say Brooks Robinson myself.
I believe he won 16 gold gloves.
He settled in nicely after that though, he got up to
about 80 pitches I think as well.
Urshela put on a show out there, that was sweet.

That is German's weakness- he gives up a lot of HR. Of course, since it seems like every MLB hitter is swinging for the fences these days, maybe that becomes a feature of the game for a few years.
IMO, if German can limit the HR damage- i.e., just solo HRs, not 2-3 run HRs, he can be a legitimate #2 SP, with borderline #1 SP potential. He also needs to develop a legit 3rd pitch to keep hitters honest.
Every batter who played- including the in-game subs- all had at least 2 hits. Every batter also scored at least one run- and all but 2 hitters had an RBI. The Yanks leadoff hitter scored a whopping 6 runs, and the 8 hole hitter had 7 RBI.
Twins pitchers gave up 31 hits, added 12 walks, and the Twins defense made 6 errors.
Obviously, the DSL is a LONG way from the bigs- but that is one of those games that most players will only see once in their careers.

All it took was 3 guys to get hurt. Unreal. Yea lets load it up with more Sox and Rays as they sit 8 and 12 back of us in the loss column

According to Elias, these are the only three Yankees in franchise history to have made it to two All-Star Games before turning 23:
Joe DiMaggio
Mickey Mantle
Gleyber Torres

Brandon Lowe getting selected ahead of Torres was an utter disgrace.
