no one really ready for Pulisic's service, Jozy could have wanded it in
with his member, but the whole is so helter skelter, I guess it's Jamaica, I don't know what to make of that part of H1 they played.
Even Ream has looked poised but to be fair, on balance the US back line was not pressured. That's my marker for this team. I've seen Jamaica look much better.
Lol this game is going to be drink if they go back in, Â
We had a couple prime opportunities to go up 2-0, but a glancing header wasn't placed properly and we showed little poise in the box and didn't attack the goal.
Allowing teams to hang around will cost us some games. We aren't good enough on D to do it consistently

I wonder if Pulisic ever goes into the locker room and think, "Shit, I wonder if the Croation guys could finish half my chances."
isn't a fluke. They are a top team in the world. Pulisic has a chance of being our greatest player ever, so that's one of the reasons I want to see this shitshow cleaned up.
I'm becoming increasing confident that the answer doesn't lie in the direction they are going, and while marginally better than Klinsmann's madness, I still think Gulati had more of a hand in the program's nosedive than anyone else.
but at the end of the day do you want a Columbia economics professor running the US soccer federation? Sunil is super smart but soccer-wise he was an amateur in many respects.
from Bucknell and even I can't stand the role he played. He fancied himself as Ahab landing the big whale in Klinsmann and it was such a terrible move.
50% of the US best talent isn’t playing in form of Adams, Brooks and Yedlin. Also reality is some Sargent and some
Of the under 20 guys are better than the cast of a holes from mls that gb is so in love with. If I never see roldan again I won’t lose any sleep.
Sunday features the USWNT against the Netherlands in the WC final somewhere in France, and the USMNT against Mexico in the GC final at Soldiers Field in Chi-town.
thing, but why do they need to have a different kit each game? You turn on the game and have to deduce which team is the US, especially since red, white and blue are the colors of several teams. Wish they could find a standard set of uni's.
RE: RE: Pulisic is ice cold. I'm getting a kit once we change cycles, Â
At the same time of the US weather delay, you saw the last gasp of Chile's golden generation as they lost 3-0 to Peru. Game was closer than the score, and while vidal still has some legs, Alexis sanchez is finished and United will have to take 25 cents on the dollar to get rid of him.
Joao Felix to Atletico Madrid for 113M pounds. He'll replace Griezmann who is likely headed to Barca. Atletico also sell Rodri to Man City for 62.8 million (obvious FFP no issue for City).
Lastly, today is the 15-year anniversary of Euro 2004!
the famous Bergkamp goal vs Argentina in the World Cup. I saw this live in DC with a group of college buddies and the place went bananas. Link - ( New Window )

Never played, i do really enjoy watching the national team when on. I wish they wore the white uniforms with the red & blue forming what looks like a flag, i think they wore them earlier this tournament.
Why is our program still struggling? Some say its because our best athletes aren't playing soccer, but we have so many great athletes in this country i find that hard to believe. I know Pulisic, McKinnie, Adams, Sargent, Yedlin, maybe Weah are supposed to give the US hope, how do you guys feel about them?
Is it true Berhalter got the job because of politics? If you could choose any coach for the national team, who would you pick?
It frsutrates me we are not farther along with soccer. You just know the rest of the world would be pissed if we became a power. cheers, happy 4th.
RE: Couple of overall soccer notes to keep it in one thread Â

And Super Frank Lampard named Chelsea head coach this morning.

well, his brother is odds on favorite to succeed Gulati as CEO/Pres of USSF, if I have the positions right. And there are many within the organization who are not happy about that, per reports.
He is awful, zero touch or ability to make something happen.
I'm not sure how he keeps getting call ups, let alone playing time. How anyone could objectively evaluate his performance and truly believes he needs to be out there is mind-blowing. Other than being fast, he brings nothing to the table.
I liked the USMNT program better when they were leaning more heavily on players who work in Europe moreso than the MLS. Other than CP and WM the rest of the squad looks really pedestrian and they are all MLS alum.
Ream, Steffan, Miazga, CP, McKinnie, Altidore/Bradley have obviously both been there/done that. Yedlin/Brooks if they weren't hurt. Boyd hopefully taking on a bigger role soon.
The last few games have been really interesting not just in the wins but the way they've played. They've maintained possession, they've put their good players in a position to succeed, and the structure has looked composed for the first time in a while. Will those things continue when the quality gets stepped up? Idk but considering where things were before this tournament started it's got to be encouraging.
Supposed to be on FS1.

okay thanks, I got the woman's game on my digital antenna.

But then again, in qualifying, we'll have to play on abominations of pitches.

Modric, Rakitic, Kovacic, Mandzukic, Peresic, Rebic.
On our team it is - Altidore. and........

If you're going to act like you've gotten a eye gouged, get in there like a wrestler and at least razor blade some forehead blood up.
I was thinking the same thing!! This cycle of kits is horrendous

Nike has to overdo it always. At least it's not the new Juve jersey with pink.

I seriously dislike the red jerseys.
They’ve had some really great white and a few nice blue ones.
Usmnt and Nike need to make dough.

And is Yedlin injured? Why is he not in mix for GC?

I agree, but he is the most egregious example.
Yes, Yedlin and Brooks are both hurt unfortunately
