It's a 2013, so the last body style and not the current one, but we've been very happy with it. Very comfortable and roomy. Easy to fold the third seats up and down. As jcn said, though, it does tear through some gas. Ours generally gets around 19 mpg even with a lot of highway miles.
Have had a CX-5 for two years. Very happy with it. AWD and I commute a 100 miles in northern VT every day. Have not had any issues.
Holds 4 people comfortably. If you don't need more space then I would go with the CX-5. Rear seats fold down flat so you can put a large amount of stuff in the back if needed.
has the 2.5L Turbo in it as well as an option. If you can swing that, go for it. It takes it from a reliable crossover to a performance vehicle rivaling german cars costing 20k more.
It all depends on what you need it for obviously Â
If you have a couple of kids then go with the CX-9. If you're getting it for your kid then I suggest the 5.
We are leasing the 2018 CX-9 and my wife loves it. We have two kids ages 4 and 7 so we obviously needed the bigger vehicle. We previously leased a CX-7 but they discontinued the model.
was that it is underpowered, based on test drives late 2018. I like escapability in any vehicle I drive (wife is different), and I found its responsiveness and more importantly torque lagged.
Wife has a cx5, the automatic tech features (wipers, high beams, lane departure, etc) work better than my Acura. Drive and power are adequate. Cx5 is a fantastic bang-for-buck vehicle.
I didn’t like the cx9 as much because the huge center console made it feel more cramped as opposed to other large suvs.
I really love it. Got the 2.5L engine which makes a big difference on the highway IMO. The gas mileage goes down a bit in the city with the bigger engine but overall I am very happy. I average between 500 and 700 KM's per tank depending on how much city driving I do.
I got the two wheel drive as the AWD was said to experience issues with the 2015 and 2016 models. Even with the 2 wheel drive it dtill works very well during Montreal's winters. I have heard that the newer models AWD is not an issue anymore.
Lots of room. Seats the 4 comfortably and 5 on short trips is OK as well.
