Karl Ravech should be throat punched for acting like what they're doing is comparable to Josh Hamilton in 2008. The way hamilton was going in that one round he may have hit 40 with the new format.
I was there in 2008 with my dad, in the right field bleachers, something I'll never forget.
Actually has the higher raw power with judge second and Alonso third. I am basing that off the chart of hardest hit home runs that they showed after a couple Alonso ones this year. I think Stanton and judge were only people in history to hit harder than a couple he had in late April.

I think it’s Judge, basing it on the distance you see in bp and in the last derby, Judge had several over 500 ft. I think it’s that Stanton is able to put more into his swing than Judge in game situations. Stanton goes full 100% ripping it.

I don't think Alonso is top 5 in raw power. I think he is just an underrated hitter with excellent power. How many would Gallo hit? I'd probably put Bryant, Vogelbach, Sanchez, Harper, and Bell ahead of Alonso. It's impossible to gauge because hitting ability counts for more than raw power with a ball that jumps off the bat like the PEBaseballs this year.
of hardest hit balls in 2019. I am not 100 sure what you mean by in game power as pitchers generally arent throwing the speed necessary to generate that much power in softball leagues. These guys see plenty of fastballs over the course of the season so in theory he would have gotten a hold of one.
RE: Pete's pitcher earned himself a contract last night Â
For all the talk this season about the balls being juiced, it should be noted that the balls were also juiced during the steroids era and help explain the massive home run totals. One of Bonds's HR balls was dissected and found to have an additional rubber ring around the core. Juicing the balls is nothing new.
It's also why the idea of comparing raw numbers across eras has always been a murky, futile exercise. The balls have changed, the bats have changed, the field dimensions have changed (and vary drastically), the strike zones have changed, the mound heights have changed, the player pools have changed, and the use of pitchers have changed.

Yeah the new format is so much better.
I doubt Perderson or Vlad Jr are the same the rest of the season.
And fwiw has 1 min less while Vlad has swung a ton...if fatigue matters to Vlady at all
Lose his home run swing for the second half..
IMO you need the split screen when they are not waiting for one ball to land before throwing/hitting another.

The way they’re presenting it on screen is awful though. Get rid of the split screen garbage.

They could use a smaller, PIP like box for that. The split screen they have is just way too much.
Same, his rookie season and demeanor, reminds me of Judge two years ago.
Tripled. I’m sure he will make plenty of money in his career but it’s nice to see the money go to someone it’ll actually mean something to
I would disagree. They’re not cheap: they’re poor.
While that’s a big problem, they have shown a willingness to pay the homegrown talent, deGrom and Wright being prime examples.
Where it gets dicey is for players IMO are the acunas of the world who may be changing their swing for the contest (see wright, abreau)
My pick: The Judge, most raw power in the game

Stanton has more power than Judge and Sanchez harnesses his power incredibly well. I'd go
Stanton with Judge second, Gallo third.

I think Stantons power translates more in games. But in terms of raw power, I'm going with Judge

+3
He made it tough at times.

Can Pete get some better pitches here??
