Glad Sanchez is not in the Hr derby. Need him to stay hot.
Yanks interested in Cleveland’s Bauer. I like Bauer and he 1 year of arb left but he has said he only wants 1 year deals after that. Would that bother you?
Yanks finish with best record in the AL by 1 game (2 less losses than Astros). Betances will soon be back.
Sox looking to add a SP pitcher sooner than later. Could be comp for Wheeler or Bauer.
Gary got beat up pretty good this week. Would prefer him to not even play in the game.

Bauer in NY is a fucking disaster waiting to happen. Short or long term. Add in the cost of what it would take to get him and, yeah, no thanks.
Had he started the season healthy, he was probably our top starter in Scranton.
The 3 youngest players on the AAA Scranton roster are Deivi Garcia, Thairo Estrada, and Mike King.
King will likely start his rehab games for Staten Island.
Hell no
he is supposed to be ready, but it is the Yanks in 2019

The Yankees always passed on Zack Greinke cause they were convinced he would be a disaster in NY. They probably have a list of players they wouldn't touch cause they don't think they could handle NY. Bauer is probably at the top of that list.

If I recall correctly, didnt the Yankees (in a roster crunch) trade Garrett Cooper and Kaleb Smith to the Marlins for Mike King? Might go down as one of Cashman's worst all-time trades, hope King is the goods

I don't think he will do well in NYC. We all saw what happened with Frazier when he didn't meet with the press after his bad day in the outfield. What happens when Bauer gets asked tough questions by the NY press or fans give him a hard time on twitter. Bauer is a bit of a strange dude.

Greinke himself said he would not want to pitch in NYC.
agreed...to me anyone but Wheeler....How bad is Stroman hurt?
If the Yankees could convince him to stay off Twitter, I'd be ok with trying to get Bauer here. But he's more likely to get into a fight with the fans and media and have the whole thing implode. There are guys who can't handle NY, but most of them are meek personalities who get eaten up (Ed Whitson being the most infamous, but Sonny Gray was the most recent example). Bauer has a "come at me, bro" thing going on that he is more likely to actively seek out conflict, and that's a bad idea to try that with the Yankees, particularly with the Yankees in position to win the whole thing this year and the expectations.
But if Cashman is interested i'm intrigued.

Bauer. At this point, we need a solid arm in order to hold the division lead and one who could be part of the rotation in the postseason. we are going to struggle to put any team away in a series based on the rotation we currently have.

Or he could be the exact opposite. The tough guy, who takes on anything thrown at him and thrives. The type of guy most NY fans take a liking to. Very much in the CC "that's for you bitch" or how he gets when guys bunt on him. A player you love on your team but get pissed at when he's doing it to your club.
I don't know if Bauer is the pitcher we need but I think he's definitely mentally tough enough to pitch here and we won't have to be worried about a Whitson/Gray type melt.
There are numerous examples of guys who succeed who are brash. If they play well - that stuff doesn't really matter
Bro could barely stop laughing long enough to say as a Met fan he’d do that trade for Mike Tauchman. Lulz

Wells was an unabashed Yankee fan basically who pitched. He made it clear he wanted to be a Yankee in the worst way, that one game he wore Babe Ruth's hat.
And CC also stood up for his teammates and has always been known as a fun loving guy.
Bauer actively takes on fans on twitter and will start shit. All it will take is one bad start and it could spiral quick. I'd rather the Yankees go after Wheeler before Bauer.

Agreed and some players like that thrive under the bright lights of NYC and use it to be even better. I think Wells is a great example of that.
Might've helped if Boone didn't play him 12 games in a row over 5 series, 3 states, and 2 continents.

What do you people follow? In his last 130 PA's his OBP is under .300. In his last 7 games his average is .107 and his OPS is .408.

Or maybe he stops trying to pull every time he swings.....Realistically he is beat up. You are partially right.

Does that include games as DH? If so, I think you are being unfair to Boone.
Apparently Sanchez loves DHing and an argument can be made that DHing is good for his batting.
