Former Giant Jamon Brown Donating $5K to J.Lorenzen Family

Dave in Hoboken : 7/8/2019 9:31 pm
Couldn't fit it all in the thread title. But former Giant OL Jamon Brown and his foundation are donating $5K to Jared Lorenzen's family to help pay for his funeral.

In a time where we hear alot of negative stories in the news; I thought a positive story like this involving a couple former Giants should be posted. Kudos to Jamon Brown. Class act. Link below.

Sorry for the wrong information. De'Anthony Trice died as a result of his father hitting him. Jamon Pays Cost for Infant's Funeral

Wonder if Jamon has ever even met J. Lorenzen. They certainly did not play together.
what a great gesture

I remember seeing an interview he did while he was still on the team where he mentions some charity work he was involved in. I admire him alot for these things.

I really hated seeing him walk btw. I thought he was solid, if not spectacular. Were the Giants not interested in him at all, thinking they could do better? (With the dearth of quality O-linemen on the market each year, how could they have known for sure?) Maybe they told him they would like to have him back but could not guarentee he'd be the starter. I'm guessing that's the most likely scenario.

Re: Jared's final expenses, I would like to believe that the Giants privately have done something for the family to help.

Its possible they both played college football in the state of Kentucky.
Mr. Brown's heroic actions should be front page news.

Even though Lorenzen played for a rival school at a different time Jamon saw his humanity and stepped up big time. A great role model. We need more Jamon Browns in the world.

He sure is and he's earned a "Great Person" card. Wish we had more like him. Good job, Jamon!
