"Along the way, Hagendorf encountered a few incredible pizza joints - Pizza Suprema near Penn Station was the only place that received a perfect score — and many more mediocre, or just downright bad ones. He threw up on the sidewalk after eating at two establishments."
Don Pepes in Penn Station
Pizza Suprema
Johns Bleeker St.
I know people might think you're nuts for you're #1 but Don Pepe really is a good slice and a quintessential NY slice. Helps they have to keep it so fresh also.
Recently had Prince St Pizza finally and thought it was very overrated. Had the plain slice and their famous square with pepperoni.
..unless they’ve changed their menu. And while that’s my hood perhaps they now do serve slices. And the OP specified slices.
My favorite slice is Joe’s on Carmine, although I limit my nearly 65-year old body to one slice a week. And when I do have my one slice a week it’s usually Joe’s Carmine Sicilian. Just one pizza-lover’s opinion.
I am planning a trip out to Spumoni Gardens to sample that square slice with the cheese underneath the sauce (and accompanying spumoni) soon, though, once the summer heat dies down.

Rich, how are you? Haven't seen you post in a while, good to hear from you.
On 34th, between Park and Madison. I don’t know about “the best”, but this is a very good pizza spot. When it’s fresh out the oven, the buffalo chicken slice is excellent imo. Definitely would recommend for anyone in the Midtown area.
Didn't want to start a thread to ask about Parking... Â
I'm going to be making a quick run into city and I'm driving from Washington DC. I'm planning to park on Roosevelt Island and take the F Train to Mid-Town on Tuesday and leave Wednesday afternoon. Is there any problems/potential problems parking at Roosevelt Island overnight?

It was very good for NY pizza, better than Johns on Bleeker.
Looks like school pizza, the place is a hole in the wall, but solid pizza.
this is what their slice looks like, it's $8.00 or so.
Prince Street has an amazing Sicilian pepperoni.
Joe's is always a solid choice.
Scarrs is great.

LMAO...one of my favorite scenes...
Lazzarra's is better, but less convenient.

I bust out laughing so hard the first time I saw that... perfect set up, perfect punch line.

Where in Penn Station is Don Pepe, more towards 7th or 8th?

It's right next to Kabooz' near the Amtrak waiting area. I think that's closer to 8th.
