Article rating the Yankees players for the 1st half.
Some interesting ratings. Some I think strange.
Gardner a "C" same as Tauchman...guy plays 84 of 87 games hits 14 HR, plays sparkling defense but he's a "C".
Gary Sanchez a "B" while Austin Romine gets an "A". I can understand giving Romine a good grade for being a good backup. But how does he rate higher than the All Star starting catcher??
Kahnle an "A" but Ottavino a "B" - ok. Tommy has pitched well no doubt and I don't dispute his grade, but has he been better than Ottavino.
Urshela a "B"?
Anyway, I think he did not do a very good job, especially when you compare grades between players.

I can't. He's unique and a great Yankee.
I agree he's too inconsistent with the bat. Most disagree with your assessment of his catching. I don't see anything great there, but he is a backup. If he was good he'd be starting somewhere.
your opinion. The pitchers disagree with your assessment. Of course next to Sanchez arm and release, every catcher in baseball (save one or two) is a rag arm and Higashioka is even worse.
