I've been an Andrew Schulz fan for a couple of years now since I started checking out his podcast "Brilliant Idiots" with Charlamagne. But his stand-up has hit another level the last year or so and he seems to be blowing up.
I know a lot of people think today's young comedians are soft and won't touch certain subjects, but not this guy. He's not Bill Burr, Chappelle, or Louis CK; but this dude is a real good young comedian who's hitting his stride.
I'd definitely recommend you guys check him out on YouTube, obviously he isn't for everyone and can come off a little douchey at times but I'm definitely a fan. Anyone else have any suggestions for some other new comic you think is funny?
(I still merely hunt down old Norm and Patrice videos on YouTube for the most part).
Good call on Theo's podcast. He seems like some kind of redneck nobleman.
Also I just saw a part of Neal Brennan: 3 Mics, as a huge fan of Half-Backed & Chappelle Show. Interesting format. I didn't love it but it was entertaining

Is it good? The reddit crew seems to loathe him but I like his banter on King and The Sting and The Fighter and The Kid
A couple of years ago it was Nate Bargatze - really good stuff from him. Before that Brian Regan.

Former MMA fighter who is now a stand up comedian. Pretty funny dude.

tbon, it is a lot of self humility type humor. I don't listen to his podcasts, so I had nothing to base it off of. You can tell he is pretty new to the stand up routine, but I didn't mind it.
Looking at the rating on IMDB, the feedback was not very positive. 2.8 out of 10!

Yeah I wonder how much of that was the viral social media folks. I'll check it out, give him some clicks regardless.
Thanks for the heads up
Oh yeah, Gaffigan is one of this generation's greatest comics imo. The quantity and quality of his material is top-notch, and the delivery is great.
D'elia is great. Bryan Callen is also hilarious.
"Dad Chaniels" was excellent. One of the best specials I've seen in a long time.
Sam Morril, Joe Machi, Mark Normand (as mentioned), and Joe List are all EXCELLENT comics (if you like joke writers) that no one's really paying attention to.
Adrienne Iappalucci is out of this world if you like dark humor. The industry kind of passed her over because she's not what people want women comics to be. Same with Bonnie McFarlane.
Mike Vecchione put out an album last year that may be one o my favorites of all time (again, just a joke writer).
John Moses is a guy that the industry has sort of passed over as well, but is an outrageously good comic, 2 albums out.
Chris Distefano came out with a great special on Comedy Central.
Someone mentioned Tim Dillon. He's a lunatic and I love him.
Big Jay Oakerson is another vet that doesn't really get enough attention given how he may be the most naturally funny person alive. Him and Nick Mullen.
People mentioned Bargatze and Segura, who are definitely 2 of my favorites right, but I wouldn't call them "new." Honestly, I wouldn't call any of these comics "new," if you're hearing about they've been grinding for 15+ years. But Bargatze and Segura both have multiple specials out.
I'm sure I'll come back to this with more.
But Big Jay does keep the tradition of the tough crowd guys alive.

2 full crowd work albums is tough to argue with. I would say Patrice, but...
Some good mentions here. Most recently saw Segura and he is a just great imo. Theo Vonn is hilarious on his podcast but better in that format than stand up imo. Same with Schaub who i like because he just seems like a good dude.
Delia is the funniest guy I’ve seen in person, just pure charisma.
I only know Normand from the hilarious local news appearance he had, definitely gotta check out his stand up.
Haven't seen his standup, but I watch a fair number of fantastic BBC "Panel Shows" - comedians & a few celebs who hang out with some quiz like premise. McIntyre I've seen on "The Big Fat Quiz" as well as "QI / Quite Interesting." Really awesome stuff
MM is great there. Tho I've found many are great hangin out and riffing, but iffy stand-up. Russell Brand is hilarious on those tho I never laughed at him b4. Same with Jack Whitehall. Russell Howard is another, but I haven't seen his stand-up yet (there's some on NF)
One I like is Jimmy Carr (also some NF stuff). Tends to host those shows and is great, but the stand-up I've seen is classic Brit sarcasm / dry humor modernized if you will (NOT Benny Hill or really most old cheesy shit). Also he has the funniest laugh they often rip on - IMO a white, Brit Eddie Murphy style laugh
This. I like crude, dark and roast comedy. BamaBlue and I are not sitting at a comedy show and laughing together.
Plus most people named have 4-5 albums out already, not really new. Hedberg only has three, and one was after he died. Seguras specials on Netflix were good, but not new.
Definitely will check out Normand, several mentioned.
Geno Bisconte is not a new comedian, but, I doubt many have heard of him.
I loved his all you can eat sketch
If you check it out, my current faves are Slavoj Zizek/Andre the Giant and Jesse Ventura/Shaq.
He has some routines that will keep you laughing days later
His humor is based upon his life experiences and he hits all the sore spots in every family relationship
He Is one of the best comedians to see live, he contorts himself and makes gestures that have to be seen

I genuinely found him to be the least funny stand up I've ever seen. It was all going for cheap stereotypes and laughs that have been done before. Clearly I'm in the minority, as he sells out arenas. But I can't figure out what people see in him. Maybe it's the physical element, like you mention.

You ever hear his Ventura on stern? Fantasticly absurd interview.
