I'm sure when we have the full Death Star one or both will be dropped down but with this group today, seeing them higher in the order is a welcome sight.
As is giving EE the day off in spite of his bases clearing hit the other night. He's struggling and maybe trying to do too much. I'm not sure if it's that or he's just scuffling but he isn't producing much and the others deserve a chance to do something.
Haha. Not digging that second half of the lineup. I will stick with this though. I'd like to see LeMahieu hit like 2nd or 3rd in this lineup. I really think it would be beneficial.

ha, ha - I have learned to keep my mouth shut with the "reduced" lineup. Seems like the more you bitch about it, the more they win with it.
I also get that this gives Sanchez more of a rest. Just seems curious to have Hicks, Sanchez, and Encarnacion all sit at the same time.
Just my opinion and thoughts, but Encarncion hasn't done anything what's he hitting something like .123. Seems to me since he arrived Sanchez hasn't been hitting like he was. Could it be both trying to compete with each others and trying to hard to hit homers.
Encarnacion did have that bases clearing double that was just short
of a grand slam the other night but I do agree he has been disappointing so far.
With baseball, patience is generally rewarded. Happ was struggling for a while and he's been doing well lately. I'll give some of these guys the benefit of the doubt. I understand the annoyance though.

#Royals have scratched Homer Bailey from todays start. Source says trade imminent. Bailey 3.49 ERA last seven starts.
Urshellas D is awsome plus with DJM able to play 3b as well Andujar is odd man out. I love Andujar but we can get a stud pitcher with him in a package.
Between his two overturned calls at first yesterday, the call at home today and his horrible stike zone, this ump is giving Angel Hernandez a run for worst ump in the league. Unbelievable how bad of a job he's doing these past couple of games.
I'll take two out of three from a division foe every time. Good start to the 2nd half and I think they shook the cobwebs off and look to them to get back to mashing.
Way to go Jints with getting us back in the win column.
It's also time Aaron Judge and someone (anyone) in the Yankee organization speak up and say something about his ridiculous strike zone. He is 6'7" not 6'0". Why it's such a difficult thing for umpires who are fully grown adults to understand that not every baseball player is the same height and therefore has at least somewhat of a different strikezone astounds me. Time for the Yankees to speak the fuck up about it. It's been a few years now of this shit, not a few games. It's probably not going to change until the Yankees say something. I mean, at least try. Fuck.

I've been banging this drum but I have to admit Boone spoke up a bit after the game yesterday although he was still too timid about it.

.
The pitch yesterday was inside, legit gripe by him
and Boone.
I have a theory though, that he should wear his pants
low like a Hicks and some others do, 'knee high strikes'
seem to be an ongoing issue for him. At his size, he kinda helps the umps out a bit, gives them a target
to look at his knees. Just a thought.
Glad they got a series win today, that was called winning ugly today with 3 errors, and also bad baserunning by Torres.
That is one aspect of his game that Gleyber can work on, his baserunning leaves something to be desired.

Umpires should rarely, if ever, get the inside pitch wrong. They are lined up on the inside. I can understand outside pitches to a point.
just low pitches getting Judge. They are all over the place.
Yesterday's was inside. He frequently gets the outside pitch called against him. He even has a few high ones - which the announcers will often talk about his height having an impact on.
DeGrom is being paid now and that makes unloading a haul a much less sure thing. I agree that package is light but it isn't without risk and i'm not sure there is a pitcher over 30 I would want to empty the farm for. Look what happened with Severino this year.
Boston lost and are now 10 games back from the Yanks.

that was the nebulous "you" not you specifically - you as in us...
Not as much as that last game with the Rays before the All Star game. That was an absolutely dumb move.

Not watching at the moment..seeing if this Wimbledon Final will ever end.

That's Tanaka's M.O. He has to live low in the strike zone. If not, more often than not, his mistakes lead to HRs.
Then, the 3-2 is in the same spot at the 3-0. Ball 4.
Yes; yes I would.
Terrible call on the 3-0 pitch to Romine. Fortunately, its academic.
Pathetic waste of an out by Tauchman.
Which two mid prospects?
In a fuckin heartbeat.

Andujar, Frazier and 2 mid prospects for DeGrom?

Your more knowledgeable on the farm than I am. Who would you suggest?

No, I think you are better there. I think it would be a good deal, given the correct MiLbers. I think the Mets would like pitchers.
Sanchez
Torres
Urchella
DJ
Voit
Severino
Chapman
Betances
Ottavino
Hicks
German
Stanton
Paxton for 1 more year
I would want to re-sign Didi. But the rest looks great
#loaded!!!
That was weird....
Fortunately the walk was harmless. Seems that Kahnle will just lose his control for a batter or two every once in a while.

He just gets jobbed.
Repeatedly
Lol. Are you kidding me?
