I have two of them:
Natural Born Killers - The only movie I ever walked out on halfway over. The whole scene in the teepee was the final straw.
Repoman - I mean WTF? It 98% from Rotten Tomatoes and 79% from fans. It's the dumbest hodgepodge of a movie mess I have ever seen
2001: A Space Odyssey. I could've saved myself a lot of time and gotten the same out of it if I fast forwarded through the whole movie.
Eraserhead. Complete and utter garbage. Probably the most painfully terrible thing I've ever sat through. Anyone who thinks it was genius and ahead of its time needs to have his/her head examined.
I don’t know anyone who liked this
The english patient is even better the 2nd time
I’ll add:
Annie Hall
The Departed: Thought it was incredible until the last half hour. That ruined it for me.
I'm with you on Fight Club
Yeah, I was really looking forward to it. They just couldn't capture the tension using 3,000 soldiers on a beach that are supposed to represent 340,000
I'd also go with Sin City.
Gangs of New York was god-awful but it was Scorcese. Anyone else and it would have been panned.

The Elaine, Seinfled plot about English Patient was perfect.
I would seriously rather prep for a colonoscopy than have to sit through the English Patient.
I second this!
Agreed

Dr. Strangelove. Thought it was boring, and I love Peter Sellers. I think he's a comedic genius, but I thought Dr. Strangelove sucked.

When did you see 2001 ? I can see how it would be boring to today's audiences or even audiences in the last few decades. When it came out though times were different. It was the "golly gee whiz" era of science fiction. The real "star" of the movie was the technology. At that time people dreamed of interplanetary space travel and advanced computers. Thats why the movie sends so much time on long scenes the the spaceship, the anti gravity scenes, HAL's internals and the various gadgets. Also it was one of the first high budget technicolor movies with a symphonic sound track. That was a big deal when the only other form of entertainment were crappy cathode tube television sets.
Saw 2001 for the first time around 2003 or 4. The movie was dated, but it still was great. It’s a fantastic film.
And for me Avatar was Dances w Wolves in space. And even Dances was a bit of a plot rip-off of A Man Called Horse. Soldier goes native Got it.

Actually, Titanic took @ 2 1/2 hours to sink.
Prizi's Honor
Blair Witch Project
Joe Versus the Volcano
Bridesmaids
Paranormal Activity
Also hated Blair Witch, but I think because it gave me horrible motion sickness.
The one with Emilio Estevez as a punk rocker repoing a car with aliens in the trunk
I’m not sure if any of the recent Star Wars movies would count as movie critics and fans liked, would they? Except for Rogue One, which was quality IMO.
I actually liked Solo better that the critics and most fans did.

There’s a Repo Man, which is great. And Repomen which I never saw but I safely assume to be garbage. Are you sure you saw the right one?

I never understood the appeal of this incredibly stupid movie. It stated with an interesting premise but then degenerated into one absurdity after another. I was looking at my watch waiting for this thing to end and the payoff what what ? Brad Pitt was really Ed Norton ?
I'm with you on Fight Club
another vote for fight club.
Black Panther

But Black Panther is the most glaring one. Laughably stupid, without a redeeming quality.
And although maybe not critically acclaimed, I can’t get over how many people think that Al Pacino, Tony Montana thing is a good movie. Absolutely laughably bad. Unintentionally hilarious crap.
