The corners who are responsible for anything undernearth start jogging when they should have been sprinting to help three verticals. The safety completely misplayed it. Nicks had like 8 yards of space on a hail Mary attempt into the end zone. How the hell did that even happen?
That was the moment I first thought we were gonna run the table

Because it was third down and everyone expected them to throw underneath and set up the FG, great call to go for it then!
because the officiating in that game was horrendous
the non fumble and the roughing call on Osi
Agreed, officials were garbage in that game - several missed calls at key times (and the fumble was actually reviewed right?)...and that roughing was bad even by the current 2 hand touch standards.
That hail mary is a killer play though, and led to a 2nd half that the Giants basically dominated...
RE: Nicks was banged around in end zone prior to catch
One of my favorite memories because New Orleans winds up losing that weekend and we have to go play SF who we could and did beat.
If we had to go to New Orleans...we lose.
I was and am still convinced that was the main reason we won it all that year. Albeit fairly...
Agree. SF was our only shot.
However, this was Karma from 08-09 playoffs, when 6 seed Philadelphia upset in the first round, and we had to play them at home after the 1st round bye.
Philthy was the only team who could beat us that year, and they did.
Daaaamn I loved that postseason. Every game was exciting in its own way. I remember the officiating in the GB game being absolutely horrendous. I was convinced the fix was in.
If I recall correctly, there was a super dirty hit on Canty that went uncalled, among other things. But that was a game that the Giants just had to dominate without question, and they did. It was awesome.

I wouldn't call the trouncing of ATL at home exciting, I loved it, but exciting? Nah.
After that hail mary, I knew we were running the table and moving to 2-0 versus the Pats in SBs. Who else was thinking back to this moment when Rodgers landed a hail mary on us in 2016 wildcard weekend? Likewise, I knew that was our medicine for 2011 and we'd be going home early.
RE: Holyshit, we are actually going to win this game
are almost the exact words I said to myself when Eli threw the beautiful fade to Plax in the corner of the EZ against the Pats 02/08.
I don't think I felt comfortable until the Alford sack, to be honest. It was when I saw the replay followed by O'hara pumping his fist on the sideline that I felt okay ahaha. Link - ( New Window )

Yeah that should have been a PI on that hail mary

the Eagles got the same luck when they avoided the Saints on that stupid final play against the Vikings
