They just keep coming at ya and there really isn't a soft spot there where a pitcher can relax. Luke and Gio coming through with two down to tack some on. Clutch.
I have no idea why these umps don't adjust their stike zone for Judge. You'd think it would just be common sense when a guy is that tall and we're not talking Little League umps here. These guys are pros and supposed to be the best there is.
One of these times Judge should scoop up some dirt Â

Absolutely fucking crazy. They just don't adjust to him at all. This shouldn't be rocket science yet, here we are... with Judge being cost AB's what feels like several times a week by terrible calls.
Half of them aren't even borderline. They're just bad.

Yup and that's exactly my point. It's not rocket science and shouldn't be a major deal to figure this out for professional umps. It's almost as if they feel it's their strike zone and he needs to adjust to them.
Problem is, people don't pay to watch those fuckers. They pay to watch stars like Judge, and for a guy like him to be screwed over so often is absurd.
Meanwhile two defensive gems to close out that inning. First Gio and then DJ. It's always a treat to see great defensive plays.
I don't know what it's going to take until someone in the organization says something.
They have already sent videos to MLB about Judge and the different strikezone he faces. About the only thing that could be done now is for Boone to get thrown out every time Judge gets screwed over cause Judge isn't going to argue. The media interest in it would make it a story and put some pressure on the umpires cause then everyone would be watching how they handle his abs. At least in theory.
call time, whatever but they can't let Morton just pitch at his quick pace. Do whatever you can to throw this guy off and not just let him get the ball and throw. He settles into a nice groove and is even tougher.
I've already seen two online, actually. One that is just "savages in the box", one that has the entire rant.
If you stop and really ponder this season, it's astonishing. 62-33 despite:
*Severino and Betances missing the entire season thus far
*Montgomery still out
*Stanton playing all of 9 games
*Mike Tauchman playing more games (44) than Judge (40)
*Hicks playing only 45 games
*Didi playing only 26 games

Love it.
3-2, Yanks.
4-2.
5-2.

That Ruocco/Flaherty booth earlier in the week was rough.
I actually think Ruocco is pretty good, but Flaherty is terrible.
Hicks with a bomb.

Booney may have created this year's tshirt today
Great series win...what a statement after game 1.
Good enough despite that. Fantastic actually!

Yep, 8 game lead in the division now. Going to be very hard for TB or BOS to catch them.
Our guys are fucking savages in that box. They are fucking savages. I feel bad for ya. Tighten it up
