While this story is probably BS (about it being in the safe for 2 months) and he likely violated a number of rules from his employer, is this really stealing? At what point is it considered abandoned property?
left them behind in the safe? I'll bet that safe was checked as part of a room inspection after housekeeping. (Meaning it was likely taken in 24 hours after May checked out.)
