When I was in HS many swore by Scubber's

I thought it was either in Latham or Clifton Park, but apparently here's one in Albany

At the time I thought the flavor was good, but they were skimpy in terms of meat on bone. Maybe not the case looking at the reviews & pics. But many many loved it, was kinda always a known spot no matter who you'd come across

I'm sure current locals might have other ideas tho, I'm 20 yrs out of Albany

I remember them being good but I was in college, I don't trust that version of me with food recommendations.

Used to be my go to. Awesome wings and they make their own blue cheese sauce which is really good.

Juniors as someone else mentioned has pretty good Wings too.
Haha that makes it easy, not one repeat

Looks like you're goin wings hopping in Albany

Do tell which comes out on top
I know people who swear by the wings at the Elbo Room

but I’ve always been to scared to go in. I feel like the building could collapse on me at any second.

I could be wrong but I think Druthers won the last regional wing contest.

I think you were thinking of Wings Over Albany, but that closed this past year. I heard that it had gone downhill over the past few years.

Hop down to Schenectady and go to 20 North Broadway Tavern, get the triple threat wings (or any flavor that appeals to you, really). Worth the extra 15 minutes.
Whyen I was in college in Albany over 25 years ago

We ordered wings from Mild Wally's all the time. I would have guessed they were long closed, but they appear to still be open. No idea how the wings are now. The other go-to was Across the Street Pub.

That's right. And I haven't heard really great things about them.

Of course there's always Hooters.
Wings....

So not albany, but clifton park has some good wings. 1 Ravenswood, and no 2, Rusty Nail.. Both are excellent but get them extra krispy. If you do hit up ravenswood the 24Karat gold sauce on the wings is fantastic.
It's been 25 years or more since I lived there...

But I killed mass amounts of wings at a bar called Hurley's. No idea if it's still there or what the quality of food might be... but I crave those to this day. Living in southern california now, they wouldnt know decent chicken wing, deli, pizza, Italian food if it sat on their face and begged to be eaten.

What I grew up with on every corner... now is an adventure finding. It took me 5 years to find a decent deli that was within 30 minutes. Still haven't found a wing place I would still be able to get the wings home in time to be somewhat warm.

But ahhhhh... the weather and the girls. Makes it all worth it.

I go there every time I get back to Albany. I also ensure I go to Hotdog Charlie's for the small dogs with the works.

but Hurleys, at the corner of Quail and Clinton, was the best back then..

Elbo Room, corner of Delaware and Morton, was also very good but was a small, crowded place
