Last night's loss was brutal. Let's bounce back tonight! Bachelor and Nogosek up. Mazza and Guillorme down. Wheeler pitches third bullpen in a row. Might be back Tuesday. Harvey designated for assignment. LGM!
2012-15: 25-18, 2.53 ERA
2016-19: 19-31, 5.65 ERA
Huh? What in the world are you talking about? lol. They are in the same lineup every day.
The Mets do have a problem, though: They have two promising young corner outfielders in Conforto and Nimmo, and three very good young infielders who need to play (McNeill, Davis and Smith) but are blocked, so they have to play out of position at the corner outfield positions, and their only true centerfielder (Lagares) is essentially below replacement level.
So I understand the question. Better to have Smith polish up his OF skills, clear a spot for McNeill or Davis or both in the infield.
Also not excited about Rosario to CF but he'd be better than Lagares...
Can't even bitch about the FO, or moves that could should be, this is just ridic, bad luck, shitty, whatever
And Jacob Rhame is coming to save the day, 4 pitch walk, and probably fewer guys available in the BP even if this moves to extras...
Sorry yesterday blew
He had a pretty big day the other day but overall yeah.. Many guys have been struggling out of the break.
yay mets!
He got his outs. There is zero reason for Rosario to be running out into LF like a damn idiot up into Dom. Dom has to catch that, but Rosario made a routine ball much harder for him. I was watching him and wondering wtf was he doing. That's the LFers ball all the way, it's not even close.
And so the Mets choke another away because they are fucking chokers and it's what they do.

We have a 9 man pen right now.. Just called up two fresh arms (granted they arent good) but have virtually everyone available and we pushing Rhame to go 2 in the 10th lol?

Yup and on top of all that if Frazier makes a half way decent throw he probably has Dickenson dead to rights also. Just a fucking hodge podge of a fucking mess to end yet another miserable heart breaker. I seriously cant even count how many games we've lost like this this year. It's amazing. Ah well night all.
He has 15 wins.
Then you read this one from Mark Simon (sports info solutions) and also remember how bad this BP is:
They were 30 runs behind the next-closest NL team (Nationals, -28)
At least it was a decent night on the farm. Mauricio had a big game and Dibrell had a halfway decent debut in AA.

It's an issue but all of those guys are AAAA jags. There's a reason most of them are closing in on 30 and aren't full time major leaguers.
The fact that the guys they traded assets for are the worst of all (Lockett, Pounders, and Font when he was here) is disheartening. And also not recognizing this reality before the season and doing more to sign players better than Avilan and Santiago for depth.
Anyways, Lockett looked great, Wilson continues to be the lynchpin in the bullpen's revitalization.. even Bashlor looks good.
Dom, McNeil, Alonso, and Frazier having big games.
All three pitched in the majors which is more than you can say for some prospects! In this case it truly was the culmination of the entire pack of everyone we traded for (10 players or so acquired) in an upside lottery type play. The hope was maybe 1-2 you strike on. Also, some of these kids are still in AA (Ryder Ryan) so the book isnt written yet.
The last 2 years drafts were really something - Tanous & crew are basically the only functioning aspect of the entire org.
