And I'm cancelling dt and moving on to dish. We haven't had a local NBC or ABC channel for weeks now with no end in sight to the negotiations. Hate to do it, but they turned to shit after att bought them.

Is that block national or only in some regions? I don't want TV at all, I only have DTV because of Sunday Ticket, sounds like an interesting argument to bloff them and ask for free sunday ticket
I live in the city and get Giant game so there is no issue with me needing directv. But, Directv lets people in NYC purchase Sunday Ticket via streaming and I have never done it. I am thinking of doing it because I am sick of watching the Jets when the Giants are not on and I would rather watch full games than the red zone. Is the Max package better than the regular one. Is it worth the money?
Thanks.

It's regional but many of the markets are affected. This is the Rochester locals but some in California have been blacked out for even longer.

You do realize that Dish does and will have disputes with the networks. You can’t escape it. Unless you cut the cord.
RE: We have DTV and are currently blacked out on CBS for last week Â
I got the deal in June. But apparently I only got $15 off. Hour and 20 minutes later they gave me a one time credit of $199 but I still need to pay a $35 fee for 6 months. But whatever it’s technically free.

The Jets game may fall into the blackout rule. I know when I lived in the Philadelphia market the DirecTV Sunday Ticket could not show the Giants game until the Eagles game ended when they overlapped. I dropped Sunday Ticket due to those blackouts.
I called last week and got $100 off the max package for the season. I used to get it for 50%. This will be my last year with DTV as the ticket is the main reason I have it
I'm going to get it as a standalone so I'll probably pay full price Â
Cheaper than going to the bar. We have at and t here and no abc or cw. Dumping for free trials of huluplus, then youtubetv, then PSvue and we'll see which is best
love to get an antenna and move on from the big providers, but the closest station is 38 miles and the rest of them are 50 miles plus.
Can't really get much over the air.

The League may renegotiate AT&T into offering a streaming package to everyone after that season. AT&T/DirecTV is heading in that direction anyway. In the next 5 years, the satellite service will be dead. It'll be a streaming service.
The hall of fame game, and remembered that our local channels are blocked!! 🤬 would love to cut the cord, but I live in the Philly market and would miss most Giants games, plus, our WiFi is very unreliable!!
My wife did call and ask about a discount.on the ticket, and they said mid August they would have the promo offers for the ticket
After wasting 30 minutes trying to negotiate with an outsourcer on another continent who kept telling me I had to wait until August, I got transferred to a "Customer Loyalty Agent, who knocked $25 off my general bill for a year and dropped the $395 fee for Sunday Ticket down to $230. I agree, as will even long time Directv employees that ATT has made a mess of Directv. The outsourcers are as dumb as a box of rocks and can't solve any technical problems. As for streaming NFL games on Directv, I think it comes with the package, as I was able to get it on my laptop while vacationing in Montana. Been a subscriber since 1997.
did with MLB Extra Innings. I get all Yankees games except when on National Broadcast for $91 - has gone up $2 each of the last 2 years. I can get all games for $120 or $160 - can't remember what it is.
NFL needs to dump AT&T/DirectTV and do it themselves.
And yes I have found some good streaming sites - a bit of a PIA to get going and avoiding redirects, but once hooked up coverage is as good as TV. (I used Bilasports last year)
every year I get better and better deals...This year...first guy I talked to on the phone gave me $80 off for 12 months (I still have to pay the $60 for 6 months though) so overall a savings of $600 even after getting ST for free
true dat - share w a family member or two - can have 3 streams going at any given point in time. My mother and I split. She lives an hour from me. Cancel in the summer or for a month or two if you're traveling or whatever - no contract
If you have been paying attention to what Reddit is doing is is only a matter of time before they shut those pirate subs down.
I used to use the Reddit MMA streams for UFC events. All it took was for ESPN to take some action and that subreddit plus another one that was the same with a different name got completely shut down. Only a matter of time before the NFL does the same.

Many of those streams are available directly from websites without ever going to Reddit. Reddit is just a handy place to get a bunch of links together.
I just contacted DIRECTV (AT&T) customer service and they allowed me to cancel without a sigle dollar in discounts or Sunday Ticket, I scheduled the disconection by the end of this month. has anybody experienced something different.
NFL has until the end of August to opt of out the Direct TV Â
After calling to cancel, I just received an e-mail asking me to call 855-267-4160 to give be their best offer….I Will keep you posted.
Yep. Let us know the outcome please
It's an hispanic call center, the guys were so nice to me since I'm from Mexico too, they explained me that I needed to cut the service in order to receive the benefits, the guy asked me to call him one day after the service is down in order to receive discounts, 200 USD free giftcard, and sunday ticket, I Will try again in a couple of weeks when my service is down.
Sucks!
Are you in the NY broadcast area?
Thanks.

Went to Best Buy and for 35 bucks hooked up an indoor antenna.

I did the same thing last week
AT&T kills DirecTV Now brand name as TV subscribers leave in droves

Canceled it before the trial period ended. No NFL Network. Tried Sling too, but canceled it. Using Playstation Vue now and pretty happy.

yeah not having NFL Network sucks but I assume they'll one day have it. I can just use Reddit for a stream of the NFLN if I want to.
