should start this game. If you expose him to all backups on the OLine and backups to the backups really, who are playing out of position, you could create a long term problem. Nobody wants their #1 draft pick, a QB, to get shell shocked right off in the preseason. He should play with the 1's and mix of 2's and then get out for Tanney and Lauletta.
The Jets have more on this game with a new coach and a fu%&^ng ahole for a DC! Avoid injury, get some reps, call it a day!

It's a shame that both OT's are injured not expecting much
from the Offense but excited to finally see Jones play .
I am kind of on the fence about starting him though being
it's the damn Jets Superbowl every year because they haven't
sniffed one in 50 years and the POS Williams who I question
even being allowed to coach .
I think I would let Eli play a series get the O-line warmed
up a bit before Jones's debut either way I just hope for a healthy game can't afford to lose anyone early on Put SB in a cage somewhere also will be great to see how
Paul Perkins plays ...

I'm going to guess the only change they make to the OL for most of the 2's is going to be Pulley for Halapio. This line needs to work on cohesion and I bet the starters play most of the 1st half.
"an air of competency on the offensive line". It's sad that that line actually made me laugh and cry all at once.
My kids have never seen a legitimate offensive line on the Giants. They don't know what it looks like.
This is Esmeralda. She's twelve years old.
She's spent her entire life watching Eli Manning get sacked,
Playing behind one of the worst offensive lines in the NFL.
She feels his pain every time he's hit.
She cries when Giants RB's get stuffed behind the line of scrimmage.
She has trouble sleeping because of her constant nightmares.
In them, the only thing standing between her and the Boogieman in Ereck Flowers.

I know a win isn't neccesary in a preseason game but for
once I'd like to see some real positives. Love to see Jones do very well and the other QB's too. Jones hasn't been playing with the ones so I suspect he won't tomorrow. But I agree he probably should be and already gotten some reps with them. No injuries please and I have to admit I'll be cheering for a win as long as the Giants are playing. Won't throw the remote if they don't LOL but again I want to see some positives. I hope Jones lights it up when he's out there. We need some hope for the future.
anxious to get a look at Jones and hope he gets some opportunities behind starting O-line. Don't think there's a need for Eli or Barkley to play. Btw, I was at preseason game against Jets when Eli got a nasty cut on his head and also at the Victor Cruz coming out party. And please, football gods, NO INJURIES.

Another A+ post. Your memes are great. Thanks for the laugh.
review. I agree that with so many backup OL out, I don't expect the offense to be effective. The defense could also have problems because of mixups in the secondary.
Really all the matters today, nothing that will effect either team in the regular season. I know we're not even going to play Bell (prob not until the 3rd pre season game)
Gregg Williams did his time. And Gase is the coach not Williams. Gase doesn't go hardcore in the pre-season so there's not going to be any funny business here
And it goes both ways. I remember Coughlin trying to freeze a Jets kicker in a pre-season game before he attempted a winning field goal...so somebody up top with the Giants made it known he wanted the Snoopy Trophy ;-) (that was the game where bozo Rex put Sanchez back in)

That's my line of thinking too.
Agreed.

They were too young to really remember it. My son is 15. He's into football now but the Giants have pretty much sucked while he's been into it.

I've almost forgotten what it looks like. It feels like 20 years since we ran for 300 on the Panthers and pile drove the Ravens vaunted D.
That Oline was slapping around Ray Lewis and calling him Susan.

...will be interesting (and hopefully fun) watching this team evolve to a higher level of football.
Intrigued with their D-Line & Secondary and how James Bettcher will utilize his personnel in various packages.

eh. Luke Falk has outplayed him of late
