Hypothetical Game Situation - you make the call

Giants up 31-28. Dallas has the ball on the Giants 43 yard line with :02 seconds left and no timeouts. Would you prefer they...

a) Kick the 62 field goal to force overtime with a chance of the Giants still winning the game.
b) Try a Hail Mary, which is less likely to succeed but ends the game if completed.

And go!

That's assuming the kicker was hitting from that range in warm ups.

I don't get that. The only thing the NFL can mandate is where the ball is snapped from, which would be the 15. If teams have been routinely kicking from 7 yards back, forever, why would they move to 8 yards and make it a longer kick?

It’s been 8 for awhile. My guess is that it’s harder to block it with the extra yard?
I would prefer the kick.
